i wouldnt say pointless though. But i do think they could have done better with the designs. Im beginning to wonder if they did this so that we could still enjoy something like guilty gear by playing blazblu, while the actual guilty gear characters go on to be in "other" kind of games (google Guilty Gear 2 overture for example...n in my opinion gg overture sucked.)

Ok there's an explanation for this game guys:

Seems Sega bought the rights for Guilty Gear and they have no plans to develop a new Guilty Gear game except for the Overture series, which yeah they suck.

So Arc Sys guys decided they wanted to please GGX fans by giving us a very similar game, basically this is the closer we will get to GGX 3 and IMO its not bad at all.

Its an exact replica of GG, they didnt even bother to change the character designs. Most of the characters look like characters off of GG.

How the hell is it an 'exact replica' if they did design new characters with a new motif (instead of hard rock they went it the gothic scene this time), yes they kept the same sprite types, but they developed different characters, if u don't like the way they look thats ur problem. It's not an exact fucking replica you english-deficient moron. Lets point out games that are similar: The different version of [SFII], [KOF, final fight, samurai showdown], [Tekkens],[ VFs]. there you go

But so far- you have no proof to back up your claims so please reconsider posting at all.

Besides- even if this was GG XXX 8000- people would still buy it because they love the series (for good reason.)

The character design and game system could and probably is a tribute to GG seeing as how they were "begging" GG players to play it. I don't know but there's that whole licensing issue and this could be maybe a sort of loophole. They would go as far as to hand draw new characters and animations? Come on, use logic. They'd just release a new GG if it was that easy, but as I said there are complications. Google sega guilty gear

you cant really compare the 2 really, one is 2d and the other is 3d that plays 2d. Besides how do you know have you played BB or SF4, I highly doubt it, its just to early to really make a decision.

Noel does not equal bridget, your just basing that off of very small speculation, while the others gameplay look very simular, and moves are uncanny look alikes of there GG counterparts.

I don't mean to sound so offening its just, so far Im thinking of taking up Noel, and what ever charater is like faust, as soon as I can get my hands on this game...and Im hoping to god theres not another briget...well gameplay wise its ok but anything other or more than that........PLEASE GOD NOOOOOO!!!!!

All I can say that as someone who has actually played, here's the problem with some people's translations:

Ragna plays like Order-Sol. not Sol.

Noel is nothing like Bridget. Furthermore on that, Noel is a rather versatile character with so much to work with. I just don't play her because she's a tier-favorite.

Iron Tager is a potemkin-styled fighter who has a Tager Buster. (hint, anyone!?)

Taokaka is much like Faust, comedy wise and all. But honestly, who gives two shits?
