these two would've made a good couple in real life, too bad she's gone how sad,i like that face wilder makes when he pops the cork and says i like that song, also like the end when she ask's him to go to the park, what a great movie! i miss her.
So sad to hear about Jill Clayburgh passing away. I remember her singing "Sea Cruise" on Saturday Night Live back in the '70's with the US Coast Guard Glee Club (I think that's who the group was) She was just such a class act. RIP
WILDER: [knocking sound][door bursts open] "excuse me, um, this won't take a minute[banging twice]"good"[banging 3 times]"excellent[shouting to the entire train]"these all right!, sorry, good evening" lol
@spindoctormarc NOT A CHANCE FRIEND , HOLLYWOOD IS COMING TO ITS LAST RIDE MAYBE ILL TAKE A RIDE PAST HER HOUSE IN LAKEVILLE,CT IM ONLY A HOUR AWAY IN HARTFORD,CT
George: "I like that song..If I hear it again it would be difficult for me not to think of you".. I'm gonna start using that line when I meet a girl & if theres is any type of slow music playing in a background.
I saw this great movie when it first came out. Years later I rode on Amtrack. Went to the dining car and had lunch. No woman joined me though. Damn! lol.
The character might be based on Jaws from the James Bond novels. What's funny is he played the character of Jaws a year later in The Spy Who Loved Me.
one of my fave movies but I always get confused here. I understand there is alot of humor in this scene but there are some parts which I think are genuine 70's cheesey script writing and acting.
Is Gene Wilder genuinely trying to play and pull off the suave gentleman in places or is it all a joke?
what can i answer for u?? im an expert on this movie. wilder i would say is certainly coming across to jill clayburgh as a suave guy and he is ovbviously quite taken with her. i mean the movie and esp the beginning is filled with double entendres all over the place. gene was head over heels over jill. too bad they didnt do a sequel to this but gene & pryor did 3 together. clayburgh hit it big for a while but this was very close to her peak with unmarried woman her best.
I'm 40 + and I'm still alive! go figure! HaHa! People can live to be a lot older than that, too! I hope these illiterate young dumb-fucks get their wish and die soon so they won't ever be older. Good riddance!
I don't like it either. I used it as a pun. How about if they played "Unchained Melody" and made clay pots togehter! Wait! I'm about 13 years early on that one!
RIP Jill Clayburgh.

What A Minute, If The Professor and The One Bad Guy are the Same Person, How come they are in the Same shot?
Fartingbellybutton 2 years ago
@Fartingbellybutton No, the "One Bad Guy"(his name is Devereau BTW) killed the professor in the luggage car, then posed as him.
Get it now?
