Maybe this is intended for children-- you know, younger kids who are still developing their fundamentals. I wouldn't be so quick to criticize this guy unless we knew who he was intending this video for. I thought this video was well done and informative, especially for people coaching kids who are still developing their foundational skills. Football is the world's game and the "beautiful sport". People that talk down to other players or countries, bragging their skills, are hypocrites.
im american i play for club in italy i bet your insults wont do anything to me on a field...america is becoe better in the game because we are a melting pot so must of us dont even originally have background from here....dont hate man
If you truly have talent and a credible opinion then offer constructive criticism not negativity. I've coached 5 year olds, 7 years olds and 9 year olds here in the US. I lived in Sao Paolo for 3 years as an adult and watched Brazilian kids learning soccer. Would this mans' opinions hold much water with one of the soccer clubs do Brasil? I know that answer and I think you have an opinion on it. But again that is not the point in this video.
ForzaAquila. You are still missing the point. And, now you resort to insults, of course. I hope the readers are getting the point here (that is the only reason I bother responding). Regardless of his age ("old man"), location ("Nevada"), or ability ("SOMEONE WITH NO SKILLS"), he is bringing some level of soccer into the lives of kids. He offers thoughts on soccer to children, not adults. Consider the context: not a game, no opponent, audience is children. Be constructive.
ForzaAquila. I never suggested he was Pele. You're entirely missing the point here. You brought up his AGE ("old man") and location ("Nevada"). It may seem funny to make comments like yours..but be responsible. He's making a video trying to help...this encourages kids. Ultimately they may see his method as ineffective...but that is their choice. Offer something constructive and positive for other readers not just criticism or don't comment at all.
Grow up. Would you decline an offer by Pele to teach you...He is 50+. That's how we learn as humans from the day we are born, think before you speak. Together with the others' points about the countries, it only makes sense that the "old men" of "futbol" are better than the US since they've been playing it much longer. Be constructive, this guy just wants to teach soccer/futbol and ENCOURAGE kids to play so that kids have an interest.
he says now im going to dribble with the outside of the foot, clearly he uses the inside when changing direction WHATS WRONG WITH YOU MAN U CAN CHANGE DIRECTION WITH OUTSIDE OF FOOT!
why is he so cautious while dribbling...just looks stiff and lacking in passion....dribbling is similar to making love in football...should be more fun
lol i know those countries have good teams but come on cristiano ronaldo for example there are so many good players outside these countries. alsobrazil has a huge population, which is often overlooked
That's a good video. But if you wanna have good control of the ball, you have to learn to stand up straight, keep your legs as streched as possible. Also, keep your head up and watch the ball only when it is necessary, not all the time. Lowing your center of gravity gives more pressure on your knees and will give you more trouble to keep your balance.
this video is from the coaching DVD for U-7's. I doubt there are many 5 years olds busting out elasticos. Probably best for them learn the basics first. ;)
@messi192837

looks like you know relatively little about football.
France, Portugal, Spain, Italy, Netherlands and Germany have been producing excellent talent.

I think that places like the U.S. produce better players if there was a love or passion for the game like in europe.
