In 1956, Egypt blockade the Straits of Tiran and the Gulf of Aqaba for Israeli shopping. The war began in the same year, when Israeli Arabs neighbors wanted to force all of Jews into the sea. You skipped the Arabs history of intolerance and aggression and forgot to mention that Israel won all wars in 1956, 1967, 1973, and 1982.

Palestine (which was a name given by others) wasn't an autonomous state with its own culture or distinct language. It was sparsely populated by a mismatch of different ethnicities and religions. Its borders were defined by Britain and most of the south at the time was unoccupied and unowned. What right did any group there have to tell another that they couldn't be autonomous on land they were currently the majority of in a place that wasn't autonomous and hadn't been so for centuries?
