It may not be very much known but Bruce was a big fan of the Clash and Strummer. He has admitted in interviews that he learned a lot from Strummer about how to command a stage..when The Clash got big in America in 82 with Combat Rock and started playing big arenas Bruce was about to make the step up from halls to Arenas and he was in the audience on many occasions just to learn from Strummer how to reach the people at the back...this is a beautiful tribute

this is one of joe strummer's best songs from the mescalaros,it's about glastonbury,joe wrote to the organisers over 20 years ago begging them to get bruce to play...thats why he said for joe at the end of this song..listen to strummer's version
