The Audi sounds great, the Porsche not so much, but they are standing still...get them going and it may be another competition entirely, I owned a Porsche...they have a GLORIOUS sound when going through the gears at speed...not sure about the Audi, I am sure its awesome too...but that would be the right comparison if you ask me.

silly kid-comments. its all about showing-off and and the big sound-machine in kids minds, but the performance of the 911 Turbo on track turns the ugly R8 into a bobby-car. besides its obvious that no turbo-charged engine can sound just as loud as a non-turbo, cause turbos "steal" sound. and compare what Porsche takes out of an 3.6 B6 with the fact what Audi needs an engine for to realize that HP..

But you dont seem to have knowledge about the special Porsche-concept, its no silly "hyundai or Honda-V6", its a B6 (Boxer!!), a high precision engine that has been growing for 40 years and reached its performance summit. People pay 100+ for "Made in Germany". and people rather pay for a piece of superior-engineering with best performance, handling and fuel efficiency in class and not for an expensive VW (=Audi).

I absolutely love Porsches 911s, the same goes for the turbos. But, the exhuast sound at idle and below 4000 rpm sounds awful and even worse with the turbos. Although, once you hit over 5000 rpm, it's porn for your ears.
