@granini86. Look at wiki definition of Naat: A Na`at (Arabic: نعت‎) is a poetry that specifically praises the Islamic prophet Muhammad. Many of the famous scholars in the earlier days of Islam wrote Naat. People who recite Naat are known as Naat-Khua'an or Sana'a-Khua'an.

So before Muhammad(saw) Naat was there which is meant for song in english

It is like saying Gana( in hindi) but objecting to say Song in english but both of them are point to same.
