  • Alright, here we go... TWO.

  • this was the Superbowl of D&D

  • that was SOOOO FUCKINGGG AWESOMEEEEEEE

  • hit with hammer ftw

  • Rad, Stinky and Helly start a franchise!

  • where can i find the podcast that picks up where this left off

  • @VasquezSF This is the last, but the PAX 2011 game came out in August.

    wizards.com/dnd/article.aspx?x=dnd/4news/paxgame

    Now with more larp costumes.

  • At the very end wil is basically saying is "we'll be back for you A-holes later".

  • @87Conner but he said it cooler

  • I was more pumped about this story than I was about many hollywood movies!

  • I love watching these things, I esepcially liked the Chris Perkins UK Adventure one (encouraged me to get the Red Box and look for a D&D Encounters game that one did). But they truly need Robin Williams, Nathan Fillion and Vin Diesel all at the table in one of these. That would be amazing and what better way to celebrate D&D Essentials than getting those amazing talents together with Chris Perkins DMing of course. Please do it...soon!

  • this is way better than reality tv. They should have vin diesel come for one of these events

  • @modestiny85 HELL YES

  • im not the biggest fan of the game, ive never really played but shit they tell a good a story

  • Scroll down(/ Ctrl F) till you find Chris Perkins name(it's pretty much at the bottom.).

    (dubewe' dubewe' dubewe' dot) wizards.com/dnd/podcasts.aspx

  • "But I warn you--if you roll a 1 again, I WILL use Wheaton's Vicious Cock-Punch of furious anger."

  • Go to WotC's website and look in the media section under podcasts. They have 3 seasons of Penny Arcade/PVP before this session. The first doesn't include Wheaton, but the next two do.

  • So were can you watch the games that took place before this, when aeofel died?

  • no more Wil Wheaton

  • LOOOOOOOOOOT!!!!!!!!!!!1111111oneoneone!!!!!

  • Were can we Lison to the podcast

  • What happened to the series 4 of the podcast? :'(

  • Whats the #1 element of comedy...?

    0:57

    TIMING!

  • and jim got a tenzer's floating disc. thats a mtg joke.

  • "if you roll another one you will recieve a wheatons visiose cock puch of furious anger" -rolls a 2. LOL.

  • Okay Chris Perkins, pick up the phone and gather your friends! Its time for Acquisitions Incorporated return adventure!

  • i have run out of tears to shed after all of these. there are so god damn funny im crying. i havent laughed like this in years. my gosh, thumbs up this video series ppl i want more.

  • These videos are brilliant, really shows what D&D can be....makes me want to play and i've never been a RPG player.

Those D&D miniatures are really ugly though, personally i'd use Reaper or something if I was to play.

  • would you like to play rad? what? would you like to play rad? noooo, i wanna use a fucking action point

  • amazing!

  • Someone should write a book about Acquisitions Inc...

  • you can find the podcasts on the wizards of the coast DnD site, under MEDIA

  • Too bad they couldn't get together through podcastery, but at least they are going to have another live D&D session at this year's PAX Prime! Can't wait!

  • Helly has to stay?

Fuck that! Helly should be Jim's new summon alongside the magma beast.

  • Watched it all, loved it, gonna listen to the podcasts now.

If anyone is reading this who has the power to create a regular well-produced videocast of, not necessarily these guys, but just funny, intelligent, nerdy, creative people (perhaps even a lady one also) playing DnD like this: I can't tell you how much I would watch that.

I would even sit through your sponsor's adverts at the start AND at the end and you can tell them that from me.

  • @reluctable If you ever find something, let me know :P

  • @reluctable Well hell man! In that case, I'll get with my D&D group and throw a couple ideas around and see what we can do!

  • @reluctable So where is this fabled podcastery Whhil Whheaton speaks of? I looked around The Internets and couldn't find the conclusion of this session...did they go back and finish the game, or is it the 2011 PAX game?

  • @yerktoader They never did do any podcasts after this, the next Ac.Inc. game is the 2011 PAX. Don't think they have any future podcast plans but the PAX format doesn't really work all that well imo, so here's hoping.

On the offchance that you've never heard them, the podcasts they did do before this compulsory listening if you enjoyed this game. Just google 'Penny Arcade DnD Podcast', they're on the wizards page, listen to them in order.

  • @reluctable Thanks for the update! It's too bad, Wheaton really teased me with the whole cliffhanger thing from the 2010 game. I did find those old podcasts, but thank you - I need another to listen to now that I'm close to finishing the 2011 PAX game :D

  • @reluctable I may be able to do that. The only thing that will be missing is intelligence, because it'll be a game full of nothing but fighters accompanied b a drunk wizard or asshole pixie. xD

  • @reluctable Did you ever find that pod cast? If so, could you throw us some directions? ;)

  • @BlueStarsong Why not try Role Playing Public Radio (RPPR) or the Nerdbound crew? They have their own sites where they play 4e DnD and other games sometimes, and their stuff is available for free on iTunes as well.

  • @IndigoLurker Oh haha, forgot to mention that these are podcasts... Sorry, I don't know any videocasts at all!

  • All of these videos had excellent choices on where to end it and what dialog to play. Bravo editor, bravo.

  • Anyone else want to see Drunk Tank meets Acquisitions Inc.? I could totally see Geoff and Gus drinking in on this.

  • Where can I find the podcast? On iTunes, their website, etc...?

  • @TheMistaGamer Search iTunes for 'The Dungeon & Dragon Podcast'

There are about 30 podcasts (audio only) with Penny Arcade in the title - those are the previous adventures of this group leading up to these videos. So far there are no further ones but I (like a lot of people) hope that will change!

  • @chrisormie Ok... Thanks!

  • can someone tell me where to find the podcast/the name of it, PLEASEEEEE!

  • wil is so hilarious

  • I want a sequel!

  • Crack the shell = lvl 5 power.

  • I created a Dwarf named Shynwyn Bronzebottom xD

  • Need more Acq. Inc.!

  • two words every player loves to hear from their DM "it's dead"

  • That was pretty epic, definately looking forward to more of these and the podcasts. I don't care what anyone says about 4E -THIS- is Dungeons and Dragons!

  • Where can i find the video/audio of the continuation of this game?

  • @CerealEater they never did it :( maybe they will continue it at this years pax 11.

if you want to hear more of their D&D stuff goto wizards.com/dnd/podcasts.aspx

these are all the things leading upto the events in this game, such as wheatons char dying etc.

    they're really good.

  • I never played D&D before but I stayed to watched all of the 10 parts because i'm interested..now I need to buy a starter set lol

  • where can i find the podcasts

  • @nookie380

Go to the Wizards of the Coast Homepage

  • @Magrar found them on itunes tnx

  • I was so glad they kept mr stinky with them!

  • @Shyhalu the rules actually don't allow that, but this is a game just for fun, they're not applying every single rule that exists in 4e =)

  • @Shyhalu Yeah, it does make the game kinda inbalanced, but that just makes it fun for the players I guess. It's not about being a rule Nazi, it's about enjoying yourself and having a good time and you can tell from these videos that the imbalanced system accomplishes that.

  • @MattakuNoKoohai Its not about the rules, its about the quality of the game. Quality goes down the toilet when you already know you've won because you can fail half a dozen times with no repercussions. Go play monopoly a few times where whenever you run out of money you just take more from the bank and yo'll understand.

  • Comment removed

  • @kstalt Number one rule of DnD is to adhere to whats realistic, otherwise you'd never have a character death. The audience is the reason why 4th edition is a watered down piece of crap.

  • Comment removed

  • @kstalt and failures gonna fail. There is no fun when every encounter turns into IWIN ex mode. I have no problem with chris, except hes too easy, but thats warranted due to lack of time in some situations. If you were a good DM you would have properly merged combat and storyline to the point where it wasn't in the back seat. Its not even about combat its about already winning before anything started. Might as well play hellokitty online imo.

  • Comment removed

  • @kstalt You started the insults with the haters gonna hate bs, so dont bitch. Sure, you can know your audience, and from all the new things in 4e its a lower quality audience that want to play hello kitty online with swords and can't handle defeat/loss. There are gamers, and then there are wowclone creators.

  • Comment removed

  • @kstalt Uh huh, so basically you insult me, get insulted, then get mad because you were the one who started the insults and then tell me I shouldn't be insulted? Really? I mean really? What truth? You basically just told me I hate things for the hell of it, thats about it. You don't need to win a tournament to be a gamer, you just need to be able to accept game over or failure as a part of being a gamer. Maybe you should try HKO, you can't lose and you always win, like 4e.

  • @kstalt Also, I like the hypocrisy because I can just go ahead and say "if you're going to be insulted by "Failures gonna fail" then this conversation is over". You offended by the truth? You mad 4e is for people who love easymode and who can't handle failure and loss? Well? The truth make you angry?

  • Comment removed

  • @kstalt Thats a bunch of bs. Whether or not I have played or just watch has absolutely no bearing on with what I say is true. Theres a reason 4e is detested. Yeah we are two different gamers, you're a bad one embracing the new ways of IWIN buttons meant to draw in a bigger playerbase because WOTC are getting greedy as hell while I miss the old days of losing years' worth of work because you made a dumb mistake.

  • Comment removed

  • @kstalt I already have you moron, its still meaningless as you dont need to play something to observe or read the rules. Thats like telling me I need to drive a car in order to say whether or not I like its color. If thats all you heard, then thats your issue with reading comprehension. What original argument? I happen to agree with a lot of people its watered down garbage, from mmorpglike abilities to no longer needing a healer. "know your audience" is something you came up with? No? Then stfu.

  • @kstalt Oh noez, u wasted 15 minutes of my time, whatever will I do. Grow up.

  • I'm thinking that they may continue it during this year's PAX. Honestly, I hope it does

  • I'm thinking that they may continue it during this years PAX. Honestly, I hope it does

  • They need to freaking get on the next podcast. For the srs, all the srs ever.

  • this is so great, it makes me wish I knew a good GM...

  • did they ever continue? if they did where can i find it?

  • 2:20 The dreaded double facepalm: For those moments when "epic fail" isn't epic enough...

  • I think the fact that it's been half a year and there's been no follow up, it's a safe bet that we won't get more, or not any time soon anyway.

  • Awesome game. thx for letting us watching :)

  • They shouls air such awesome session instead of same boring ass Starcraft matches :P

  • @YuriPRIME LoL Yes I'm sure Starcraft is more fun to play than watch. D&D is fun to play AND watch with the right people.

  • @BonkaNok

Watching people play Starcraft is dull as balls. DnD is not because part of the excitement is group dynamic. There is none of that in Starcraft.

  • Man, this was AWESOME

  • I like kurtz, he plays dwarves and cant roll to save his life, just like me

  • I've watched all 10 vids of this adventure at least 5 times and I still crack up through them all. I wish they'd do this again this year, but I think they passed this time around.

  • It would be great if both Penny Arcade and PvP could take the entire adventure from season one through their current adventures at PAX and make a graphic novel. I would buy that in a heartbeat.

  • Ok so the PAX East 2011 schedule as of now doesn't mention a continuation of this and there's been no podcast since PAX Prime! I am saddened deeply by this and can only hope that the addition of this event to the schedule is coming soon, otherwise I will be quite upset. You can't just have something this truly awesome at Prime and leave East out in the cold.

  • @RoyalImpact Thank god they made a sequel this year :D

  • The ending to this means the next podcast will be AWESOME. Omin Dran, Aoefel, Binwin, Jim Darkmagic, Rad Longhammer, Stinky, and Hellie!

    Acquisitions Incorporated is looking good.

  • The poor thing didn't even get to attack them....

  • this was great

  • could someone post the link to the podcasts please

  • I like how chris tries to make sure chris is having fun and let scott play rad.

  • I REALLY (x2000) want to see a live D&D celebrity game at PAX EAST 2011, I'm just hoping they decide to bring the whole "A-game" to the table. Maybe they could even pick a random audience member to play fodder characters like Rad and Mr. Stinky. Just saying you'd make some nerds uber-happy.

  • @rjftrebor

Which one ends from these set of videos?

    Series 2 or 3?

  • @Driv3bye

It goes series 1, 2, 3 then these videos.

  • I just wish I was as charismatic as these guys, dear god.

  • Man, i miss playing D&D

  • the podcast out yet?

  • @dream1518 idk, i'm wondering myself.

  • @dream1518

they have not done another acquisitions incorporated podcast but mike jerry and scott did play a 7 or 8 episode darksun game over the summer that you can listen to. i really hope they finish this though, they're so hilarious.

  • @rjftrebor do you know where i can find the game so i can listen? :P

  • @dream1518

they're on itunes and on the wizards . com website under the media tab. they're labeled as the penny arcade podcast archive.

  • Arcana check?

    YES! O__O

  • Always makes me really sad when these end

  • I think we would all like to see this continued...

  • Who taught you how to roll dice, Jerry Holkins?!

  • Awww Chris is such an awesome GM, he's always smiling and seems so patient and happy. Good stuff.

  • I started playing D&D because of this video :)

  • @mewarmor990 My Red box is in the mail.

  • @mewarmor990 Me and my friends too :) Made a Swordmage.

  • @mewarmor990 I am going to start playing D&D because of this video :D

  • @mewarmor990 Same here, same here!

  • does any one know if they actuall did the podcast and if they did where it can be found

  • That podcast better get up soon. If I don't know what happens next, I... I would DIE.

  • Where can I find the podcast? It looked like when I saw the podcasts on the DND site they weren't doing this session of DND anymore.

  • that was awesome!!

  • This was pure fucking awesome. Best podcast ever, can't remember the last time I laughed so hard. *Omin rolls three ones in a row* "Son of a BITCH! You are SO BAD at this GAME! You're gonna get punched in the DICK! Gitcha dick out! Gitcha dick out!"

  • @Infradead When I first heard that and Scott burst out with "FUCK YOU Jerry! FUCK... YOU," I was in public with my headphones, turning it up cause nobody was talking and I wanted to know what he rolled.

Bunch of people started staring at me. >>

  • Could some one pleas tell me where I can finde the podcasts.

  • @Garsemor They're on the Wizards DND website.

  • This shit right here, this is the good shit! Thumbs up!

  • Comment removed

  • That was beyond fantastic! These guys are amazing. I can't wait for their podcasts to start up again!

  • How bout a Chris Perkins DM commentary?

  • Good gawd, its just something about this group that makes me cheer with glee like a little school girl every time I listen / watch.

Can't wait for the podcast / more sessions.

    *~t3h C.

  • That was awesome. Would love to see more games like this!

  • Wow. I personally would love more live D&D games. Celebrities or not.

    High f@#!ing five, gentlemen.

  • That was one awesome adventure! I love that Scott and Wil are BFF's again!

  • Thumbs up if you watched all 10 parts of this AND have listened to every part of every podcast.

  • @TheInflicted Where can i get a hold of the podcasts? I just found this last night - watched 1-7, and finished now ;P So I'll get that done, and then you will have my thumb!

  • @seiji42 It does not appear anyone replied to you... you can find the pod casts at Wizard's own web site in the pod cast archive.

  • @Pgaither84 ty bro! took some looking, but now i found it! :) Finally i can get more of our beloved Aeofel! xD

  • @seiji42 glad to hear you found it. I suggest after you listen to all of those pod casts, you come back and watch this again. With all of the back ground established, this is far more entertaining. "The Jerry Holkins school of rolling."

  • @TheInflicted whats the name of the podcast

  • @TheInflicted where can i find the podcast after this can you link me plz.

  • @TheInflicted what podcast where?

  • @whitestar111 do a google search for "Penny Arcade dnd podcast". They're on the Wizards of the Coast site, there are 4 sessions up, now. The first three are sessions from this campaign before the events in this video.

  • @JustOneEarth thx but i went straight to the website knew of it becuz i play dnd every week but the only 1 i found was this 1 on podcast

  • Brilliant love it. But I think Jim missed out on a classic ending line .

When they all climbed on the disk he should have said "roads, where we're going we dont need roads"

  • Think this is the youtube vid ive laughed the most at to date. So awesome, need to get playing again. Thanks for doing that guys, hope there will be more in the future.

  • What a great watch. When Chris Perkins and these guys get together for D&D, total awesomeness and hilarity ensues.

  • @Xenomorphica

Y'know, usually I really like Wil Wheaton, but yeah, you're right. He was trying waaay to hard and just came across as an asshole.

  • @zabbai First attack roll then divine guidance re-roll followed by using an action point.

  • Why did Scott get three rolls?

  • @Zabbai First time he rolled normally, then because whil wheaton had his "mark of malora" shit he could reroll, its the avenger skill.

Then he rolled because he had a action point left and used it.

  • @CivilNL Action point? Apparently, I have no idea how to play this game.

  • @Zabbai

Action points are special points that are given very sparingly (As a default, you have 1, which is regained after rest, but you can be temporarily rewarded a few more). Basically, without going into the specifics, they give you an extra action of any kind you want (standard, minor or move) when you use one. And you can only use one per encounter.

Some big and scary monsters may have one too.

Basically, it represents the character pushing himself past his limits with a heroic effort.

  • @Nakedspaceman1 Thanks for the thorough explanation.
