For all of you dimmies who dont know anything about hoops, and think mj did it by himself, the freaking sports announcer just said that the bulls have two mvp canadates on the same team!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Enough said
there will never be a team like that again i cant wait till the bulls get another championship. i think they will be good enough within the next 5 years to get the next ring
I think the real key to the bulls being able to dominate was having Rodman on defense in the paint. See even though the bulls were fantastic from 91-93 they had a real tough time fighting with teams that had a strong center (houston, knicks) but once you put Rodman in there hell he was like the modern day bill russell. Unlike the celtics/lakers teams of the 80's 90's basketball teams had only one strong player in the frontcourt. and well dennis held them down.
what also makes this team so great is the went 72-10 against teams like Shaq and Penny's magic, stockton and malone's jazz, ewing's knocks.....those teams would dominate today's league and the Bulls reigned over them
my god when scottie got hot there wasn't anyoe better because he would not just get hot with scoring, he would get hot with his all around game as well.
If U look at the 1:53 mark of this video, you'll see that the sonics are running a 1-2-2 zone..
For U kids out there always talkin' about zone defenses, teams REGULARLY got away with doing this during the "Golden Era" of the NBA.
Couple that with physical defensive practices with a EMPHASIS on allowed handchecking & no 3-sec rule preventing the big men from camping out in the paint to defend the rim, U kids can't "POSSIBLY" be DUMB ENOUGH to think that today's game is defensively better..
this bulls team is equivalent to having kobe and lebron on the same team with great complimentary players which provided defense, outside shooting, and rebounding. it's no wonder they went 72-10
I like the dunk at 7:50. It wasn't a typical MJ slam. He was probably expecting someone to go up for a block so he got up high and slammed it down with force. Reminds me of a great Lee Mayberry slam from 92-93.
The shot they show the replay of at 7:36 is one of the most amazing shots ever. High off the glass with touch facing sideways going towards the baseline.
Always wondered what game that shot by Jordan at 2:38 was from. They show it on some highlight videos from a camera right behind Jordan's back. Thanks for the upload.

That Sonic team they just blew out had a 64-18 record that year. The Bulls simply beat the living shit outta them like it was nothing.

LOL @ Kemp's expression at 7:40. Looks like he's trying to hide from the camera after getting on Jordan's highlight reel.
