really man? that's stupid. Everyone occasionally "chokes", if it happens all the time then it's time to go to a speech therapist.
The whole thing with the arms raising is a misnomer based on the fact that the lungs aren't symmetrical. Raising your arms doesn't actually do anything, but if it makes you feel good... do it
See if your DR will refer you to a speech therapist. They can evaluate you and offer treatment options. I sincerely hope you can get the issue resolved.
an OT should know.. thanks for the video.. we appreciate it better on how to deal with dysphagia patients.. but its not on their minds.. its about what happpened to the orofacial muscles or something that makes the persons have the dysphagia
I agree with beagleheadfred. Peglol should not make fun of people with dysphagia. I have had dysphagia for four months, and I'm only 21 years old. It was horrible. But Jesus healed me two days ago and now I can eat anything with chocking. He told me in a dream I would be able to swallow in five weeks and I did. So as a speech therapy student, I will always be able to relate to my patients with swallowing problems.
You two are making fun of ppl with dysphagia like myself who has had it for 21 years and it's worsening.I don't appreciate this at all,NO it's NOT all in our heads!
i can't swallow and i feel like burping everyday....plz help
