They are both amazing. jordin may have the more powerful voice, but Melinda is able to perform all styles as shown with her performances of My Funny Velentine and I Got Rhythm. Jordin still sings pretty basic arrangements. But they both rock.

A couple of points to make here. First, obviously Jordin isn't going to sing this with the passion and conviction of Bassey and Jones, as she is SEVENTEEN. However, these recordings are terrible because of the poor mixing. It's not like they have an enormous amount of time to complete these, as the contestants get the songs a week in advance, sometimes less. They did eliminate a lot of Jordin's breathing issues though, so that's a plus.
