The part about their seeds and feed not working or reducing livestock numbers made me smile. They thought they could play God and make a profit, now it seems they haven't quite figured out how to manipulate God's designs to make that profit. I love the cause and effect principle at work here.

Let's hope that the Genetically Modified Organisms doesn't fully bind with human DNA. GM Corn, Soybean, etc have already invaded the structure of plants that started as Non-GM. There is also strong evidence, reported on "World according to Monsanto" that GMO has mutate with the bacteria naturally living in the stomachs of humans. The entire world should be demanding an end to Monsanto, which has basically created a new life form that theoretically could wipe out most of our food, or even humans.

... it's not "your" milk ... the cow milk you drink belongs to you no more than the genes of a pig do ... the milk is the rightful property of the cow and the calf the milk was produced for ... if you do not believe that to be true, then you must understand the mindset that allows humans to "own" the genes of another being ... if you claim ownership of their body parts and bodily secretions already, what does claiming their genes matter?

The very fact that anyone could conceivably believe that existing genes can be 'patented' as intellectual property is such an egregious abuse of the patent application process that it should be violently [I do mean: violently] opposed.

The patents on certain sequences in the human DNA have already been granted. If you argue against it, saying, you may not patent the human DNA, as it belongs to everyone, they simply smile and call you a Socialist or a Communist. Nevertheless, this is Capitalism at its most savage.
