  • It's amazing that that smack wasn't in the script, Marlon Brando improvised it, so Al Martino's (Fontaine) reaction was real. According to James Caan, "Martino didn't know whether to laugh or cry."

  • I love Hagens laugh in the background xD

  • I hate a person who makes a fool out of someone in front of an audience. He thrives on ego.

  • I'm gonna act like a man.

  • What can I do? What can I do? I only wished they showed the Don's face on the second "What can I do?" They cut away to Tom Hagen laughing, but they could have had both.

  • @zwartepiet412 wow great analysis.

  • Tom Hagen's reaction is epic.

  • so funny. what can i do what can i do.haha his face

  • @Moneybrawl Awesome scene from an Awesome movie , that better ;)?

  • @Moneybrawl Why would that be?

  • the acting in this scene is purely genius. Mostly the godfather's role

  • You sure can survive a shot to the head, an uncle of mines survived one and I think most of us can remember Mary Jo Buttafuoco, the wife of Joey who was shot by 16 year old Amy Fisher.

  • classic i love it thank you takhlbery.

  • hahahaha, good one godfather.. nice slap in his face!! hahaha

  • So nice, it needs to be heard twice.

  • haha i love how tom hagen laughs his ass off

  • the godfather talks like with a load of balony in his mouth

  • @emirhasa He was shot in the throat, hence his distinctive voice

  • @warriorofwrestling a man survives a shot in the throat? yeah right

  • @emirhasa Yeah... You can be shot in the head and still survive. It's unlikely, but it does happen

  • Love Tom Hagan's smirk!

  • what is amazing about this scene is what it tells you about the godfather. this is the only scene in the film where godfather loses his temper.. members of the family, including his own son, get killed and yet godfather remains calm... but to godfather the most intolerable offense of all is a man who is weak and out of control

  • @zwartepiet412

    that was a brilliant analysis,

ive seen this movie 3 times and never thought of that

  • @zwartepiet412 so true, well said

  • That`s one of my favourite parts

  • That's the greatest scene of all in the Godfather movies. I watched that 10 times. So good! :D

  • @atspats112 Legendary!

  • Tom Hagen having a hard time keeping his face straight really talked to audience. I would have laughed too.

  • that was so funny lol

  • Brando improvised that

  • i like the way he make a fun of the actor, and as you see, the consigliary laugh to, jejejeje.
