Odd that all the men involved in breaching the door were in olive drab camies, as if they were doing a jungle invasion. Or is this evidence of US military doing domestic Police duties? Either way, the facade of military uniforms is unsettling.
As unprofessional as the journalists on the scene appear to be, I do agree they were most likely with the State SWAT team as the reporters indicated.
I don't mean to be an alarmist. This occurred in 2008... scratch that. Attention to detail is apparently not one my strong points tonight. Geesh! It's in the durn title. 1993, and widespread mil/police partnerships were mostly just a twinkle in the Fed Gov's eye. I'm thinking now that TV popularity of pd dramas probably made such uniforms seem cool
Yeah and I think they were popular for a time because back then government surplus type stuff was cheap. You could get 100 old army fatigues for the price of 10 new police uniforms. This wasn't too long after Desert Storm either. I think these days they would get alot of crap for wearing fatigues and not being military.

i think it was just the particular uniform that the SWAT team had at the time.
