Probably the drinking age is 21 because American are pretty conservative or at least that's the impression we've got of America here in Europe, for example here you can drink when you are 16 and we have no problem with that everything is normal... But, what I don't understand it's that you are not old enough to drink until you have 21, but when you are 18, you are a total man to join the army, navy etc... and to kill people in a war... that makes no sense to me

Thats a stereotype suggesting that ALL teens around the age of 18 are not mature enough to handle alcohol. Well, if it wasn't for those 'immature' men and women that gave their lives for this country, she wouldn't even have the freedom to get up and state her opinion!

what people need to ask is WHY aren't some 18 year olds mature enough to drink? it's because children aren't tought to be responsible. This is liberal government at it's best..trying to protect us from ourselfs yet again
