i dont think the 99's have locking rears ..i have a 99 and not sure what it is my buddy said its no a locker when he had it opened up but maybe he was wrong

the stock chevy z71 rearend has a automatic locking diff he cant engage it it does it itself

you truck does have the g80 rearend if its a z71 with the factory locker. the reason your right wheel didnt spin in the air is because of the open diff.

HUH? it can'y be an open diff. if it has a locker. Unless of course he didn't engage the locker. But I've not heard of Chevy putting in a factory locker. But I may be wrong on that one.

Correction... No the truck has the stock GT4 differential. Yet today in the muddy and rain soaked trail we rescued a stuck Dodge ram 4X4 (high centered)who's been stuck for over 5 hours. Pulled him out no problem.

@darna88 well dodge got nothin compared to a chev cause i off road raced my 90 z71 against a dodge ram with a hemi all tricked out and all i had on was to cherry bomb exhaust and beat him every time
