  • Awesome, wish I was there.

  • Beautiful. End of story

  • How Ironic, I just pulled this same exact 5 bottom semi-mound plow down the road today for one of the local farmers, with a JD 4230. Amazing plow, took up only a lane, was suprised.

  • @N756TA ,

A friend of mine is 88 years old, still farming as he has for the past 75 years. Nearly every thing he owns is by John Deere. He introduced me to this IH 720 plow and he swears by them. They pull easier than the JD's or Melroe's and really turn the trash down, especially the corn stubble.

  • @1nhman I'll get back to you when we go to plow in the Spring. I'm the dedicated "harrow-er." My dad does all the plowing and I do all of our hay. A lot of responsibility for a 15 year old.

  • how many hp does it have?

  • @aldertaker1 I believe is is 145 horsepower.

  • Valtra is based in Sweden,Norway or some nation like that and are owned by AGCO

  • @generationll No, you got it all wrong. Valtra is based in Finland, we dont have any tractorfactories left in sweden.

  • @generationll No, you got it all wrong. Valtra is based in Finland, we dont have any tractorf actories left in sweden.

  • If it aint red leave it in shed

  • make her smoke!!!

  • There is nothing better open cab moist soil congrats

  • Good old internationals, there the best!

  • We have the IH 845XL. Wich was produced mainly in Europe. Had it for 23 years now without fail! One of the best tractors ever developed at its time! The IH 845XL!

  • international tractors were built to work and last forever

  • @michelsawsomefarm ih case and jd are some of the best

  • @brian93ist john deere sucks

  • @michelsawsomefarm i know you couldnt give me one but they do hold value better

  • good work

  • holy clay batman! yikes! love the red iron though.

  • WTF??? Tractor is pulling that like its a 2 bottom...

  • nice you do it very nice

  • Oh that is a pretty sight, the turned over earth! 5/5 stars

  • Ooooh, I can almost smell the diesel! :D

  • The smell of the diesel isn't the only thing you will smell when your driving a older cabless IH (farmall). They always have the smell of hytran aswell, plus the smell of turning top soil.

  • Valtra tractors are made in Finland, very good build quality, with fantastic Sisu engines(also made in Finland) now part of the AGCO group.I hear they are getting quite popular in Canada. There is a small dealer network in the states By the way I'm in Cornwall,England

  • Ah, clay :) A pain to farm, but it does give pretty good harvests :)

  • when i get time i will post video of my 100hp valtra 6550 with 5 bottom lemken reversible on our cornish hills, just to show how it should be done(tongue firmly in cheek as i write) all the very best to you keep up the good work!

  • I am not familar with a valtra. I anxious to see the video. What country are you in?

  • what a feckin mess!

  • Look at the straight rows. Once it was worked and planted it was great. Good crop of red wheat this year.

  • sorry if i offended you,but here in cornwall england we like to see all the guff(trash)skimed of and out of sight. Your plowing is straight i grant you.on a sepperate point why are the american farmers so behind in not using reversible or turn over plows with left and right bottoms, this always puzzles me. ps i'll give you $3000 for your tractor

  • not bad but atleast u didnt have to do a rocky feild with a plow a tree stump and a long tractor and if ur wondering its a 966 but it takess alot on us and the tractor

  • I got a case 2590 with 20 front weights water in rear tires, and cast iron wheel weights on rear. compared to my jd 4630 with only rear weights it hasn't got power althogh jd breaks down more often and drinks the diesel compared to cases

  • Cool video. Our clay here is more red. I broke about a acre for a big garden where it had not been plowed since the late 60's. The poor little Cub with a 12" bottom plow had a tough time of it. Then it was my bottom that hurt after discing it all down. I didn't do it early enough so the weather helped me, by breaking up the strips some. The front wheel kept dropping into the voids, what a PITA. I was sore for a week. Mark

  • When I am out there all alone, no phones no one bothering me, just the smell of grass, the roar of the diesel and the wind and sun in my face, well it just doesn't get any better than that.

  • uv made a ryt arse o tht mun

  • Sodbuster!

  • if they dyno at 200 horsepower why will a 4440 JD with 130 horsepower out pull them?

  • Perhaps weight, gearing, weight distribution, tire sizing? Torque is what really does the work anywat, not horsepower.

  • Why can a 290 horsepower semi tractor out pull a 425 horsepower Corvette?

  • Nice comparison. Weight Traction Gearing and Torque

  • @1nhman

It has to do with the size of the tires and gear ratio

  • Because its all in your head. I watched a 1066 out pull a 4440 last summer at a pull. 4440 came 3rd place behind a 1466

  • Rubbish, unless the JD was ballasted it wouldn't do it. One of the modern JDs wouldn't do it, they are gaining a reputation as being no good in wet conditions!

  • Yeah baby, make 'er talk!!!

  • what size plows r those?

  • They are 18" and I am in heavy clay that has not been worked in over 30 years.

  • yea, the 1466 probably did come in handy then ;)

  • Nice, straight furrows! Excellent job!

  • oh man someones gonna have a sore butt disking that down

  • What year is this rig (any year from 1971-76)?

  • She is a 1975, just had extensive re-build. More will be done this winter. The factory spec is 133 HP, but most dyno at about 200 HP

  • Reminds me of back in the day..I remember the sounds and thrill of turning over that ground....can almost smell the diesel and the earth

  • WHAT??!!! NO SMOKE!

  • ...its a 1466 pulling a 5 bottom you can pull em with a 1066 and no somke

  • Whew boy.... that looks like a MESS. Your tail is gonna be sore after you disk that down.

  • You are correct. This field had not been tilled in 25 years and was really wet clay. Its done now and looks much better.
