i too grew up with this record in the late50's. i am almost sure this is the exact performance(thought it had a green label), but closer than any of the 33rpm vinyl i have heard. drove my extended family crazy by playing the 78 over and over as a child, and from that developed my obsession with music..so glad to see this at youtube. it is still an emotional piece of music, drawing you in, melancholy, wistful, hopeful, but forceful, dark and dramatic can't get enough of this performance!!

¡Excelente! Esta es la versión de mis recuerdos; venía en un disco 78, y había que tocarlo por los dos lados, en una victrola. No más que no tuvimos la sabiduría de "Vivalamúsica", de conservarle. Bien anmigo, y gracias por compartir.

@Mike16011 Hola Mike! De verdad es uno de mis discos favoritos, lo he tenido por 2 años ya! :D Lo único malo de esta toma (que grabé para este video), es que está a una velocidad incorrecta. Lo remastericé y le quité los ruidos, y claro, le corregí la velocidad, si quieres lo subo en estos días a YouTube, con esta nueva cuenta (soy dueño de "vivalamusicavieja", pero no podré entrar más :S ). oh how wonderful! i'm looking for a "modern" digital recording on iTunes - couldn't find a single one that i really liked.  i find this, and it's got more soul than any DDDs.

This is the same record I grew up with, except maybe it aged better than I did. This definitely was the soundtrack to many days and nights of my childhood. Even the scratches and the crackles are the same. Thank you, vivalamusicavieja.
