i was there. metal church opened the show. metallica slayed!!! this show was originally scheduled for the concert hall, a super small venue in toronto. it was postponed about a month because of james' skateboarding accident, and in the meantime master of puppets exploded and the venue changed to the gardens. then cliff died...

I have to respond to everyone's excitement on Death Magnetic. I will absolutely agree that IS fun to listen to...as they have tried very hard to return to the missing link after Justice. However, no offense to Metallifux everywhere...they will never be like THIS ^^^ ever again. It's not possible...James' voice has changed as he's aged...it's normal. Let it be clear, though...these guys still fucking kick every metal wannabe's ass!! My only request within Lars' means...quit playing tin cans!

@indychapter metallica is a speed metal band created from the skateboarding times of the 80's, when there was a need for fast ass, kick you in the face need for skateboarders all around the world.. that energy that came from the music went hand in hand with the energy needed to board... i grew up with metallica in the mid 80's starting with puppets.. i've watched over and over "A year and a half in the life of metallica" you can see bob rock teaching metallica a different kind of music
