  • le rappel de tres bon souvenir de ma jeunesse

  • Just awsome rock & roll...

  • There's actually three different songs referenced here; one more aside from The Beatles and The Rolling Stones. The prominent bassline in this song is identical to the one in Sugarloaf's "Green-Eyed Lady!"

  • Saw April Wine in 1979...EXCELLENT CONCERT!! I Like To Rock...love the counterpoint at the end!!! Can't say that I'm a member of the 4% but my son is!!

  • everybody mixeed this up with ufo and they jammed especially live

  • Sorry, insyncnet1, but the two songs being referenced at the end are "Day Tripper" by The Beatles and "Satisfaction" by the Stones. If you can't hear that, well, I'm just sorry for you...An April Wine truly rocks, a very under-rated band!

    -CD-

  • When is wine cheapest?

  • Sometimes the singer in this song sounds like Ted Nugent in his younger days. Just a great song along the lines of Black Betty and Ball Room Blitz. Rockin'!

  • "Journey to the stars!!! Rock And Roll Guitars!!!" Heard this music for the first time in the movie "High Life"... It's pure magic

  • I beg to differ...but the cues at the end of "I like to rock" is ALL...Rolling Stones I can't get no satifaction, which i never knew for sure all these years but totally loved that endingof I like to rock. How cool.

  • you mean excerpts not experts lol sorry im half lit on cuervo

  • wow i just discovered this band....they kick ass!!!

  • Ahh, I remember my visit to America flying across the desert of Nevada at sunrise blasting this out of a Plymouth Voyager minivan en route to Reno. Good times for a kiwi.

  • @ufofan1980 Hey Kiwi, sorry but this is CLASSIC CANADIAN ROCK. So next time you listen to this song start thinkin' your flyin' over the Canadian Rockies OK.

  • still amazing

  • my generation > your generation

  • Man, I almost forgot about the Wine, another awesome Canadian band along with RUSH AND TRIUMPH!

  • I seen them on Canada Day 2011 in Moncton N.B Canada and to see how many people viewed this band's music make's me wonder.I seen them play for over 30 year's and most of us in Atlantic Canada have heard of them and we love this very talented band.Myles will always leave the show making sure their fan's got what they wanted. When Jerry Mercer was on the drum's he always made the crowed pumped up with his amazing solo's so kid's,look up some more of their tune's,you won't be disappointed.

  • I saw them open for Rush on 3 tours. GREAT BAND!!!

  • The threway mix at the end is awsome!

  • bubbles from tpb : I Like To Rock love it.....(:

  • I Hope My Neighbors are April wine fans!!

  • This is what Rock n Roll is supposed to sound like !!!!!

    Long live the 70-80's

(must be over 40 to thumb up this comment) :-)

  • @GORDITO1000 Now 5 thumbs up and another 5 million 40 odd aged rockers to follow...

  • Eleven people don't like to rock.

  • Oh the FUCKING memories, You know who you are..

  • I like to stick my fingers up my butt to this song!!!!! Fuck Yeah!!!

  • If I really felt that way I wouldn't have gone there in the first place.

  • @SirFone Someday my friend ... Someday

  • @leathergunn: Indeed Leather, indeed. (sigh . . .)

  • @SirFone I know man its sad but this kind of music is just in the history books, I find its some of the most motivational "GET DRUNK AS FUCK" type of music hahaha

  • this song is deadly one of the great ones if you like this you will love my video and the tunes that go with it

    Calgarymudfreaks.ca calgarymudfreaks youtube

  • Me and a guy I know got into an arguement about songs like this and he said hard rock sucks (he's a rap fan) I told him to go suck a fat baby's dick

  • if Bieber does something like this, then i will respect him. someones gotta get that kid some beer and a leather jacket and smarten him up!

  • @acerb45666555:

Hahahahahahaahaahahhahha! I think he just needs a good dose of Nugent's inimitable guitar, and that would be enough; the beer would just be a drunken distraction after that.

  • @acerb45666555 and he needs to start working out like at least once or twice a week. i hate how the guy walks around like hes the shit and he weighs about 90 pounds

  • LOL

    April wime

  • "Play 'I Like To Rock'."

    "That was April Wine."

"Then play that 'Diane Sawyer' song."

Good old Trailer Park Boys. lol

  • @omarsuarez73 fuck ya!

  • April Wine was my second concert ever. Still have the ticket somewhere...

  • Rock from the Great White North! :)

  • Lol at all the old people preaching their "Classic" Music. Hell yes it is awesome, without it, nothing else could have ever existed, but the new stuff is still good too. Music is music, regardless of time period.

  • @Angst

April Wine has played since 1969 and STILL plays-

most bands in the past 20 years are doing good to last 6 months.

    The thing is,

April WIne was especially unique in that they almost always used guitars and skill only,

they never used sampling or synthesizers.

My problem with most pop music of the past 30 years is that it doesn't require much skill.

It's just become a form of karaoke.

April Wine also played many diverse styles.

Many today are lost without electricity.

  • @jetpoweredgriffin Oh trust me i am not a pop music listener, fuck that shit. haha I am a proud promoter of Progressive Metal, everything metal and instrument oriented. It's just i find it funny all the people saying how this is absolutely THE GREATEST thing ever, it is damn good, but it is not the best, nothing can really be deemed "the greatest"

  • Comment removed

  • @AngstRide I understand. I just think April Wine is a special band that is really overlooked. Pop has just gotten worse and worse. It's like tech- the more communication devices we have, the more our communication skills deteriorate. In metal, some have skill to play all manner of modes and instruments- a lot are just fast. You are right- music will always be ultimately subjective but tastes and standards can be manipulated... and they are. Still, there is no perfect color.
  • @jetpoweredgriffin soooo true give someone from the 60-70s a guitar and they will make rock, give rihanna a tambourine and she will look at you clueless.

  • @Gerfart000

I don't think any of them could even SPELL

    "Tambourine"...

    {^,^}

    Really,

I am not even sure if they know what one is!

  • wore the grooves out on this album

  • Yeah, my brother used to jam this album!

  • Smokin Dope and Drinking Was the time back then,to my brother and older sister Thanks!

  • Damn...I forgot about this song! I haven't heard this in about 20 years!!! I used to jam to this tune in high school...smoking herb and drinking Jack and loving life!!!!

  • journey to the stars rock n roll guitarahhhhhhhhhhssss! hell yheah! yes im drunk, so what.

  • 9 people don"t like to rock tis' sad :(

  • What version is this?Half this shit is cut out of the song!!!!!!

  • some like it hot bitches!!!!

  • This song f..kin rules.com. LOL

  • we were all born in the wrong generation. 90's sucked

  • @11bufu 90's were ok, it's the 2000's that really suck ass.

  • @mustwinder There are a few 2000's bands that are decent(most notably Disturbed) but aside

    from them,you're right!

  • @AnnaAnnaYes Yeah, there have been a few but even the late 90's was way better, some good music came out from 1995-1999.

  • @mustwinder Yes Pantera really Dominated 90's Rock and Metal. RIP Dimebag.

  • @mustwinder FU**EN right man this rap is driving me insane

  • I remember being nine years old and my older brother who was 15 years old had this album..oh the good old days!

  • THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST FUCKIN SONGS OF ALL TIME .

  • i wish i could live thru the best years of rock n roll

  • I like to rock! yeah i like it baby!

  • @riderfanszmul thats cus it is lol :P

  • my name is *insert your name here* and i am a proud member of the 4% of teens that still listen to good music. (must be under 18 to thumbs up this comment)

  • @badgerbuddy so I'm not allowed to give your comment a thumbs up because I'm not in your band of misfits age group? by the way the percent is more like 60 to 78 percent of teens its fact. i'd know because i know at least 250 teenagers.

  • Love the way they play a riff at the end from 'Day Tripper' and 'Can't get no Satisfaction'

  • 9 people are either

    A. Bieb squeebs or

    B. Deaf

  • Seandeyoung01,I agree my cassetes were absolutely worn out. What has happened to killer rock and roll? I would cut off a leg for someone to resurrect this style o0f music. I mean I still see young kids wearing ac/dc shirts I know there is a market out there!

  • LOL Im 14 and i cant stand anything thats newer than 1998

  • @pCf96 OMFG Same! And it sucks because I was born in that year!

  • LMAO @JourneyRocks81 -- You said it!!

    The title says it all!

  • Take Notice lil kids of today, this how you ROCK .. "don't get scared now"

  • I worked with this band,at the BluesFest in Windsor around,2000,we had to bring the PA from a bar for the drummer. For his side wash,he also would never, get on an elevator,i can still see him creeping down the stairs to the main, lobby, with his gloves on.Thay were a little pain,in the but,but it was worth seeing them play live...JB..

  • you know whats better than listening to I like to rock. blazin up a bowl of northern lights and listening to I like to ROCK!

  • Oh hell fuck yea!

  • Driving my 400 hp muscle car listening to this, those were good times.

  • Gordon YYZ-A Canuck music treasure hunter.

  • 3:57 sounds like satisfaction by the stones

  • @BETDPN It is, they got permission from The Stones to use that riff along with Day Tripper by The Beatles.

  • I LOVE THIS SONG WAY better then ANY song that is made today my todays bands because most of it is pop and even more if you like the classic songs made in the 80s,70s and around that time if you have XM or SIREUS. then goto the channel called 'boneyard'. It is 53 on XM and 19 on SIREUS. And even better if you have XM goto channel 161 it is rock@random and they play this song alot along with other songs..................

  • How could anyone be alive and and well in 1979 America/Canada and NOT love this song??!

  • Great Canadian rock band... :)

  • @kttydchss Texxas JAM!

  • 17, riding around with my boyfriend in a Highrider truck. Big speakers behind the seats, great equalizer, 1982. This was one of my favorite lightweight bands to blast.

I'm a Priest fan first and foremost, but I did love the way this song sounded in the cab of that truck.

  • R.I.P.--Former April Wine bass player Jim Clench who passed away on Tues.11/09/2010 at age 61 from lung cancer!!!!!!

  • I bought my '99 firebird 2 years ago and it came with the stock cassette player in it, my dad being a classic rock fanatic had all kinds of cassette tapes around the house so i got a bunch of them and put one in and would listen to it until the tape was over, well this is only cassette that stayed in my car for a couple of months till i finally got a cd deck installed,

  • Another song for cruising in a hot car window down blasting the tunes. God this song brings back some memories!!!

  • Good song, good band, notice how all the good bands / things from Canada came from Nova Scotia? (The 51st State in the USA) XD... Jk. But still, Alexander Graham Bell, April Wine, Donairs, Hank Snow, Sloan, Thomas Edison's Father... Good shit. Canada should bow down to their awesome Province to the east... XD ROCK ON!

  • @Buckmaster16365 Sorry Buckmaster, it's not, I've been listening to this album since I was a kid, still have the vinyl copy, and now on cd, this is not the version on the album, some cd versions have it, I believe if I'm not mistaken it's a radio edit. Listen to the album version, way better!

  • Comment removed

  • @songsilikejk Because it's a shortened radio edit that cuts out the middle section of the song, the original version is on the album. The cd has the radio edit version, unless there are new remastered versions.

    thats what I thought

  • THIS SONG HAS NEVER LOST ITS BALLS!!!!

  • I used to like this group until I found out they are Canadian.

  • @robertjohnson487 whats wrong with canada ?

  • @ratz5000 That you have to ask that question is part of the huge problem and the massive guilt that all canadians share. Do a little basic research available to any elementary school student before responding.

  • @robertjohnson487 that was the stupidest comment ive ever seen

  • @rascal1717 That is because you are a canadian and not much is expected of your parasitic nation.

  • @robertjohnson487 dude your a complete douchebag you're probably some little kid out looking for some kicks with you buddy little 12 year old squeaky voiced bk's

  • @yoddleaeho NOT TRUE. I am a 45 year old "complete douchebag" who happens to hate canadians with an unquenchable vengence.

  • @robertjohnson487

So....what you're saying is that the music is phenomenal but somehow being Canadian makes the music sound like much of the shit you hear on the radio that tries to pass for rock nowadays?!?!?.....really!?!?!?

  • @Delisle4 No, I'm saying that for economic, historical, political and geographic reasons anything that is canadian, by definition, should be abhored. I never mentioned anything a
