Who cares bout his fucking backing vocals? OPEN YOUR FUCKING EYES Cliff was really metallica. He created the real music. Realize, without him there would be only half or less of Kill Em All, and that would be the end of great Metallica. The only good thing that happened to them after his death was Rob joining the band, and recording death magnetic. IMO And Justice for All was still Cliffs influence, Jason couldn't play anything by himself, he only followed James. That's why vol of bass is so low

And like most mainstream bands, they have a pretty nasty sell out that leaves them as almost a joke. I hate to say it but this is what happened to AC/DC. With Death Magnetic,Metallica went back to its 80s roots. This pleased ALOT of old skool Metallica fans and initially saved them from being dead in their old fan's eyes.
