Punxsutawney Phil - the true "second-most-famous groundhog IN Pennsylvania! ;-)

Gus (the animatronic Pennsylvania Lottery instant games mascot) has to have passed Phil in fame by now.

Phil only gets one day a year, while Gus is around at the beginning of every month.

Anyway, as someone who has visited Punxsutawney twice (during the summer), I have to get there sometime in my lifetime on February 2.

This brought back memories ... my hubby and I were there for the big 02-02-02 celebration six years ago which also happened to be a Saturday and 40K folks descended on the town. It was great. Punxsutawney goes ALL OUT for this event and the town RULES !!!! For anyone who has never tried this before - do it - it's like New Year's Eve in Times Square - ya gotta try it at least once before you die ... CHEERS folks !
