I have taken an interest in Michael Moore’s work for around 20 years now. Sure he is not the Messiah, but he has been deeply critical of the fat cat system even when that was unfashionable. I repeat he is not perfect but I am deeply suspicious of the "he's another cynical fat cat" criticism below.

The protests will not amount to much. There's no unified cause. Some are disgruntled college grads who can't land a job. Others are disappointed Green job loyalists. Some don't know why they are there. Lot's are unemployed, Some held jobs at Solyndra. Some never had a job. A portion of them demand entitlements from the government, Some just want to defecate on police cars. Most are pro income and wealth redistribution thru a system of Fed. Gov. All did not get the change they voted for in 2008.

I have taken an interest in Michael Moore’s work for around 20 years now. Sure he is not the Messiah, but he has been deeply critical of the fat cat system even when that was unfashionable. This criticism has consisted of much more than popularist anti-wealth rabble rousing, but has involved disciplined well researched exposure of corruption within the system. I repeat he is not perfect but I am deeply suspicious of the "he's another cynical fat cat" criticism below.

Part of being a sustainable, stable society is limiting the excesses of its those within it. Wealth, being a form of power, must be limited, or else we will truly descend into a plutocracy, if we've not already become one. This doesn't mean that no one can be more successful than most, but like good poetry, it must be done within limits.
