I just lost my mother on my birthday in May. I know where she is, she is no longer in pain. I miss her with every thing in my soul.I did get a chance to tell her I love her and begged her not to leave me. While on her death bed, I turned around so she could not see my tears not realizing she saw me in the mirror on her dresser, and said "Stop crying, it's not good for me. I know she can no longer hear me, but I loved her with all my heart and soul. She is with my heart.

My mom died of cancer, too. She raised 4 girs and 2 boys on her own. She got her real estate license and worked at a department store. She took care of all my aging aunts and uncles, grandchildren, her elderly parents and all of us! The most beautiful and giving human being I've ever met. She would get out of her car an push people stuck in the snow, she'd give you her last dime. Love you Mom miss so much..you were loved Mom, so loved!

I lost my mom October 20, 2011. she also had cancer, but by the time anyone in the family knew it, it was too late. she only lived a week after initial diagnosis. it gives small comfort to know she and my dad are together once again in heaven, but i miss her everyday. and with the holidays coming up, it's only getting harder. i have a 5 year old and a 7 year old, and trying to help them to understand is the hardest thing i've ever had to do as a mom.

@draimanfan1984 My husband and I didnt find out his mom was dying of cancer till 3 days before she passed. We are still angry at the ones who this and didnt let us know her diagnosis. We live out of town and my husband is the baby he was her heart he was her favorite and the only thing that keeps sane and not loosing it with the others is the fact she may of wanted it this way. Her passing was quick and I never met a woman who smiled taking her last breaths..she knew how to live and die.

Lost my mother on valentine day February 14th, 2008. Went into hospital for routine hernia operation but suffered a stroke not long after surgery passed away days after. I have an empty hole in my life even though I'm blessed with so much with my own family. Always will be a hole. Faith and hope is what gets me through the grief.

I lost my Mother to cancer last Thursday, May 13 2010. My Sister and I also did a 24hr care for about a week at home. We each got one last hug and an i love u from her before she passed. I am happy that she is not in pain anymore although extremely sad that she is gone ( obviously ), but she is in a better place now. My grandad passed away at just 48 after having bowel cancer.

My grandad was an organist and a beautiful song writer, and he wrote a song for my mum called 'Tommorow's still to come'.

He wanted it recorded professionally, but sadly died before he ever got the chance, So with just the melody, me and my friend Hatty built the song up and recorded a version.
