This song is so universal. Not any god or person or orientation, race or creed is indicated in this song. You Christian can relate it to your god if you want but the song is not specific to a god but to life in general. Hope is personal thing not a religious thing. So stop makeing everthing about your god just to justify your beliefs.

I admire KD Lang's talent and love to hear her voice and play her songs all the time; however, I think here she is twisting the meaning of the song from walking with God to walking with another woman. If she wants to sing a song about that, she should just write another song and leave the classic spiritual songs to those who appreciate them as they are.

@vsvjy1944 I have often reflected on the debate over language. Whatever words we use to communicate in the end it is a form of expression. The arguments rage on in the UK about the 'watershed' on TV. I understand why it exists but would seriously question its purpose. EastEnders is a semi-violent series, but there's no bad language. Is it better, therefore, to try to set oneself on fire and burn a busy pub to the ground, causing devastation, pain and death just as long as you don't swear?
