  • i think the guy on the left will need CPR after this

  • I liked this one , for it was a quartet. I still fond Marty Wilson's version to be better. Just My opinion. Great job though regardless!

  • 18 people are jealous...

  • 3:13 Very very very very very high tone !!!!!! How did he do that ??!!! :O

  • Great sound! :)

  • biggest shit on youtube... this is music for gaylords !!!

  • fabulous :D

  • Who arranged this?

  • wow, this is absolutely amazing. the playing and the humor is awesome. this just made my day

  • 17 ppl dont understand the point of the song lol

  • @farwell25 18 jealous trumpet players can't get the high tones done by one of the trombonists.

  • awesome

  • check my vids for alastair kay's version. it will blow your mind.

  • fuck christian lindberg, if you haven't heard alastair kay play this, you are missing out. just sayin.

  • awesome.

  • 3:00 - 3:46 FTW!!!

  • bravo++++++++++

  • I wouldn't say as far as Christian lindbergs just yet, he keeps the tounge a little more consistent with a warmer sound

  • this is AWESOME. ohh how i wish to be a brass player now LOL

  • Comment removed

  • i think trombones have a new level of notes now, my life is now set on these notes

  • almost as good as christian lindberg's version!!!

  • Great stuff.

  • verry nice

  • XD Es muy gracioso jajajaja

  • Brilliant! Excellent performance.

  • que musicasos e los mejores

  • how was the beginning funny?

  • @iTromboneTheThird the bass trombonist is cut off, he was probably doing something funny off to the side

  • I would like to get my hands on that music.

  • WHERE DID YOU GET THIS MUSIC?!

  • Amazing !! He's playin flute with a trombone (at 3:15) They have a wonderful tone haven't they ? I wanna play like em :) Well done guys !

  • muy muy buenos eeeeeeee

    me encanta esa cancion

    sale bye

  • Thank you so much for this performance and this video. As an aging trombonist going through the most depressing time of one's life, I haven't had such a good laugh in a long, long time!!!!! Bravo!

  • Bravo!!!

  • jajajaja very good

  • AWESOME!!!!!!!! I Love BRASS!!!

  • awesome

  • Magnific!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • how does hat guy play so high on the maggiore part? I saw him fidgetting but i dunno what exactly he did

  • He sings it into the trombone without buzzing. More like screams to be honest :P

  • can u give e some musical piece of this title.....?

  • Music is all about entertainment=]

  • Wow, I thought that was really good and clever to make a comedy show out of a piece. It was well played too. Unusual but AWESOEME!

  • People need to stop laughing!

  • Why!? It's supposed to be comical!!

  • Do you have a sense of humor? It makes the show all around more enjoyable.

  • Unusual but great version!

  • what da fuck they laughing it not funnny shoe

    it classical

  • de bassbone did something funny, but it was not on screen

  • No its not classical- its music. They adapted it into comedic brilliance- Just like Christian Lindberg did. Just enjoy the music for what it is- thats the WHOLE point of music- entertainment..

  • Why would you guys even fight over this, its the same thing with christian lindburg, everybody wants to fight about his musicianship all because every once in a while he wants to have a little fun and enjoy what he is doing. Plus things like these are very popular with the younger children who are forced to be quite for very long periods of time to listen to very complex literature, how could you be attracted to becoming a musician if everybody looks like they have a stick up their butt?

  • very good and funny ensemble!!!

  • Cazzo e che bravi!!!

  • :D:D Great Work Guys!!! Keep on doing this, and you will be better than the Canadian Brass!! XDXD

  • you are stupid!!!

  • very good guys!!

  • Csardas (csárdás)... I am sorry to say but czardas means nothing... :S :S :S

  • haha sweeet, i play this as a tenor solo piece, but tht made me laugh alot, good job guys i wish i could do tht with m8s lol, it looks like a riot

  • srx tro for le jour ke j ser a leur niveau ba vla ! felicitation

  • After readings all the comments on this thread, I'm just amazingly suprised to see how poeple can be so stupid not to see the point in this performance. You don't need to be a genius to see this was not a formal concert and that the trombone section wanted to have fun and laughs with a cool piece to play. BTW! Yes these are members of a youth orchestra. I'm really pleased to see that the rookies are that good. It's nice to know that trombone has such a bright future in the Great White North.

  • how the hell is this a YOUTH brass section.

  • Amazing, I love double tounging on the Trombone, you can do so much with the slide, and tounge

  • tongue*

  • haha you think you could do better?

  • Awesome Guys

    Loved it!

You still have the sheet music for it?

  • q xevere tokan a la firme

  • excelente!!!!!! congratulations!!!!!!

  • silly but amazing!

  • wow that guy can double tongue

i wish i could do that lol

  • just practice at a really slow pace going ta ka

  • very well done.

  • That guy had some impressive double tonguing.

  • that weird high thing was the guy singing into the trombone

  • you guys are idiots, this isn't a funeral, people can laugh at whatever they want to

  • khbgkh, it's called musical humor, its ok to have fun

  • Yeah but what exactly is funny about it? I love music, I just hate the things musicians find funny. All they are doing is playing the piece gaudily, I don't see the funny.

  • u cant see it, u only can feel it. they're young and they're good, those kinda things are to be expected and its great to see them like that. They're not paid professionals, why so serious?

  • You have no taste, sir, and should not watch videos like this in that case.

  • desde venezuela saludos, excelente trabajo

    sigan asi

  • Maybe they were meant to laugh? Thought about that?

  • Good Performance. It was somewhat disrespectful that members of the audience were laughing, but... at least the trombones still played well despite this distraction.

  • It was a somewhat informal concert, and you can probably see that the Trombone Players were a bit comedic, so I would say that laughing was condoned. (I was a violinist in NYO that year)

  • Awesome!!very very good production=))!! Kurvaa jóó:P

  • This is sooo good!!! Really good!!!

  • Good Times ! NYOC rules !

  • great haha

  • he change mouthpiece

  • isn't he just singing down his bone?! As a) is doesn't sound like the sound you get from a smaller (trumpet) mouthpiece and b) when does he change back...

  • BRAVO DECKI...

  • how does he play that high?????

  • he doesn't play those high notes he just sings in his trombone

    it's easy

  • Why is it that people always laugh and enjoy themselves at Trombone performances? I guess Trombone players are just that superior to all other instruments.

  • and this audience is collectivly, an idiot...

whats funny about a gliss lol?

  • how does he play that high?????

  • haha this is an amazing recording. props to you guys.

  • wow... amazing doesn't even start to describe it

  • Fab!

That one guy sure can tweak out the high end.

I'm surprised glissando gets so many laughs like that.

  • heyy does anyone have the sheet music for this arrangement? i would love to have it

  • HAHA AWESOMEEEEEEEEEEEEE =D

  • Hahaha, that was super special awesome!!!! I love this song and this arrangement was very clever and well performed, keep up the excellent work!

  • Amazing performance

I was wondering if you could tell me where you got the music for this because I cant find it.

    I would really appreciate it

  • Amazing performance

  • Just an FYI for everyone, the title is pronounced "Char-das." I just learned this, and I figured it;s a good thin for everybody to know. make sure to look up the Oystein Baadsvik tuba version.

  • esaltati....

  • excellent job

  • great!

  • This is better than Christian Lindberg's video, by quite a lot.

  • U kidding? Way too messy to be better. It's good but not Lindberg good. There are some fantastic moments but then there are also some splitters and intonation problems.

  • Estan bien locos estos compas !!!!

  • lol 2st trombonist had a great sound..

  • Yeah, I agree...he sounds great. And the rich sense of entertainment!!I love these guys. I wish i could play the first trombone part myself someday.

  • e secondo ti perchè son passà anche mi al trombon?

  • E poi mi chiedono come mai sono passata al trombone ... trovate voi dei flautisti con questo spirito!

    Troppo divertente! Bravissimi!

  • Hi. I'm a Bass Trombonist at Chethams School of Music. Please could i have the name of the arranger of this piece please.

    Thankyou

    Simon

  • yeah man its czardas

  • i know. what bout the arranger???

  • I think it's slokars quartet's czardas.

  • They have a great ensemble sound. The guy playing the fast section is a little bit unclear though. Maybe they took it too fast or something, but it sounds muddy. One thing I really love here is how animated and into the music they are. That's something you just can't teach.

  • that is totally awesome!

This is difficult for me on violin - how much more for trombone!!

    wow x

  • how old r these guys?

  • they're all members of the national youth orchestra of canada, which has members from 15-29, but the this particular section is like 17-23 ...the 17 year old playing 2nd, and 23 year old on bassbone

  • you might not get it but a musician would. try not to ruin it. its funny if you get it.

  • może być,,ale jeszcze trzeba troszeczke popracowac nad formą...

    pablo

  • Simon étudie à Genève...

je savais qu'il joue bien, mais pas autant ^^

cette vidéo est vraiment sympa !

  • its musical humor

  • Bad ass!

  • buen tema y con mucho profesinalismo

  • was that guy singing into his trombone????or playing??

  • duible high buzz its called.. playing high an sing. at the same time

  • i thought it was called multiphonics... maybe its called something else in canada?

  • that's what that is called, singing while playing, but this guy wasn't playing. When Al Kay does Czardas he plays that high, but this was just singing right?

  • haha nice!!!

  • hahahahah.... krazy kanadians ;-)

  • its musical humor its okay to laugh damn respect with adults is really overrated

  • dam that was nice tb 4 ever fauck the audience !! dam kids!

  • whitch one is the bass trombone? i cant tell because they all have G or F attatchments.

  • Its the one that enters from the right about 40 seconds in

  • thanks!

  • its usually the one at the end, in this case the person on the right in this vid. and you can also see if its a bass trombone cause the bell is larger then a tenor

  • and his slide will usually be out in the longer positions more of the time than tenors, b/c more of high notes have closer alternate positions.

  • wow...how did that guy play so high? lol

  • now that's what i call an awesome PERFORMANCE!

  • Very nice!

But the audience needs to calm down..

    what's so funny

  • The audience is the Youth from the National Youth Orchestra of Canada, in other words they are all muscians. They are laughing at some of the "musical humor" the 4 players have added. Takes a muscian to recognize some of the humor, especially if youve heard the piece performed on the original instrumentation. And besides, you can't say the bass bone part at the beginning doesn't at least make you smile! :P

  • All i can say --> very nice!

  • Part of me wants to hate you guys right now... great job.

  • It's Pretty cool, but why in c-moll!?

  • Awesome! Very well done!

  • w00t bass t-bone

  • i love you crazy canadian trombonists!!!!!!!!

  • I think the age range of this section is like 17-22 or something, 17 being the 2nd guy from the left on tenor bone

  • Bravo les gars... Dis moi Simon t'aurais pas le dvd de l'audition del'année dernière... Bon je rigole on verra ça en septembre.. Bonne continuation et attention à la justesse signé: KURT

  • wow... how old are you guys...

  • Very good playing, hope to see more.:)
