@xukun0 Apes still exist because the evolutionary ladder split. Out of one species, group A went on to become humans because of some tragic event that caused them to have to adapt, while group B remained the same.
It's like birds; there are water birds, land birds, and even birds that can't fly. And there are different adaptations specifically for what kind of lifestyle that particular bird must live (an ostrich is fast, a duck has webbed feet, different beak types and wing types, etc.)

And that is exactly why there are still monkeys too. In evolution, not the whole species evolves into another simultaneously but a POPULATION of a species evolves different from other populations of the same species when in isolation from other populations. And as a result you will get 2 species out of one. Both of them in turn evolve in their own ways, split more etc. That is how you get many species.
Shortly, when a population of a species is in reproductive isolation, the changes that occur in this population only spread in this population and do not distribute into other populations of the species. As a result, the isolated population becomes more and more different from others until finally they become new species.
Humans are just one of numerous primate species. But also all other species have evolved - none of the modern species are the same as 6 million years ago.

Those monkey species that exist have all once split from some isolated population of their ancestor, just like humans split from isolated population of our ancestor.
A species splits into two species. Both of them in turn split into two species (that now means 4 species). And so on. Eventually you will get lots of species, unless some lineages become extinct.
Because every species origininates from one ancestral species. However, there have been many human species, others are simply extinct by now. Neanderthals were last other human species that existed besides us.
Human is a kind of ape, and there are several apes. Chimps for example and Gorillas. And then there is alot of subspecies of those as well like the dwarf chimp. Monkeys and Apes, not the same thing. One has a tail and the other doesn't.

@DinoHunter2 Actually, quite a few of the more conservative Jewish sects can be pretty hard core creationists. I mean, the creation myth for both christianity and judaisim is in the Old Testament, so it's not like they don't have any creation stories. Some people just take it too literally, but this isn't exactly something unique to Christianity.

@DinoHunter2 the Bible is a compilation being used by God for one purpose and as such contains History, Poetry etc. The Creation description along with the whole book of Genesis was accepted by Christ as historically accurate and thus should be accepted by the Christian. 3. While the Bible shows examples of faithful lives and other things from reading it, the main purpose seems to be showing God's solution for the SIN problem from inception (Genesis) to conclusion (Revelation)..

The Creation Stories (and any religious scripture period) are more intended as morality stories (The first half being why Sunday is holy, and the second half being how sin supposedly got into the world) than literal accounts of how the world was "created". I would think they would have studied the habits of the dinosaur's future cousins and then applied them to their prehistoric ancestors. It's also what's most likely. Evolution is a big lie and the big bang idea never happened either. how the heck those beast where killed by a meteor but their so say cousins didn't? and fyi, a meteor could have not fossilized those dinosaurs, but a great worldwide flood of water. I believe we cannot understand everything there is to know about Creation, just as much as we cannot know everything about the "beginning" of time. And that is exactly why there are still monkeys too. In evolution, not the whole species evolves into another simultaneously but a POPULATION of a species evolves different from other populations of the same species when in isolation from other populations. And as a result you will get 2 species out of one. Both of them in turn evolve in their own ways, split more etc. That is how you get many species.

Shortly, when a population of a species is in reproductive isolation, the changes that occur in this population only spread in this population and do not distribute into other populations of the species. As a result, the isolated population becomes more and more different from others until finally they become new species.
Humans are just one of numerous primate species. But also all other species have evolved - none of the modern species are the same as 6 million years ago.

Those monkey species that exist have all once split from some isolated population of their ancestor, just like humans split from isolated population of our ancestor.
A species splits into two species. Both of them in turn split into two species (that now means 4 species). And so on. Eventually you will get lots of species, unless some lineages become extinct.
Humans are just one of those numerous species.

I mean, the creation myth for both christianity and judaisim is in the Old Testament, so it's not like they don't have any creation stories. Some people just take it too literally, but this isn't exactly something unique to Christianity.

@DinoHunter2 the Bible is a compilation being used by God for one purpose and as such contains History, Poetry etc. The Creation description along with the whole book of Genesis was accepted by Christ as historically accurate and thus should be accepted by the Christian. 3. While the Bible shows examples of faithful lives and other things from reading it, the main purpose seems to be showing God's solution for the SIN problem from inception (Genesis) to conclusion (Revelation)..

The Creation Stories (and any religious scripture period) are more intended as morality stories (The first half being why Sunday is holy, and the second half being how sin supposedly got into the world) than literal accounts of how the world was "created". I would think they would have studied the habits of the dinosaur's future cousins and then applied them to their prehistoric ancestors. It's also what's most likely. @meowkie what cousins? The Lord God created those things. Evolution is a big lie and the big bang idea never happened either. how the heck those beast where killed by a meteor but their so say cousins didn't? and fyi, a meteor could have not fossilized those dinosaurs, but a great worldwide flood of water. Plus, a meteor would have burned them up and turn them to ashes.

@wisefreethinker242 I don't want to fight for long, but I will say this:
I believe in Evolution every bit as much as I believe in God. I believe we cannot understand everything there is to know about Creation, just as much as we cannot know everything about the "beginning" of time. Who am I, someone who only studies scientific theories in one language, and someone who's only twenty, to say I know the answer to everything? All I can do is thank God for the Earth and what he's done in my life.

brethren, if you believe, and serve the Lord Jesus Christ, you cannot also believe in man's lying theories. otherwise, you are calling God a liar. God created man and this universe. Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. There is nothing to understand about time, God set up time for us to keep track of. Time is only moments, time never existed for God because He set it up. The years of this earth is 6,000 years of age.

@meowkie Dinosaurs lived and still live with man, don't let know man deceive you. look at most animals today like the elephents, rhinoceroses, crocodile, giant turtles etc. those animals fit the description of dinosaurs. And just so you know, evolutionists are going to plan b now, saying aliens created man. Prophecied in 2 Thessalonians 2:8-13 And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming...

The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie.

Because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them...

Who exchanged the truth of God for the lie(thats evolution), and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen

@meowkie ... Who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who pratice them.
Now I know we all are not perfect, I myself is trying my best to walk completely in righteous. But knowing God exist, and pretending like God does not exist, and LYING to other people who may want to know the truth just to continue in these things and causes others to do so also, is begging of death.

@wisefreethinker242 I don't understand why some people have to insit that God exist without any evidence. Even if he exists, what so fun about keeing and begging for pity from another being ? Not to mention the one you usually serve and donate money for is the Church and there is nothing Godly about them except they sometimes help people who have mentality problems (after receiving a bit of donation, certainly). But they are not the only one who can do so.
