@Dustinsfishtanks My plants are NOT growing any roots and they always float to the top so I was wondering if substrate would help them stay down just as much as dirt? I have looked through every video and I couldnt find anything about.
I cant seem to get my java fern to grow very good. I have i just sitting on top of the gravel and it turns yellow on the tips and works its way up the leaf then the leaf goes transparent.dont know what im doing wrong. I put flurish comprehensive in my tank twice a week my swords arnt doing as good as i would like also they arnt growing very fast.Any suggestions would be appreciated.
@MriBackup Are you using dirt? Depends on what your are trying to do. My 220 doesn't have but 120 watts on it, (same ratio...) I think less light makes it easier to get it rolling. Have you been to the aquascape.ning. com? good advice on the future home of fishtanktv
im planning on getting some java fern from my local shop to fill out a tank for guppy breeding again , it comes in small black pots for about £2.99 , would you suggest i remove it from the pot and tie it to a rock with fishing line? or leave it in the pot , not really a big fan of seeing the posts embedded in the gravel though. any advice appreciated if you get time. Nice videos . Dean
@lostmangos Screw the pots, let that stuff go wild. Check out my newest video, I spread out some java fern to help it grow. It can handle being ripped up to tiny pieces if you can wait on it to grow in. Hardy plant, for what you are doing I would spread it out super thin and add some iron for a jump start. Tie it to something....doesn t need planted. thanks for watching!
@BrokenWingMedia haha, i feel you on a shitty team... thanks. Its a big sword...Glad you like them. Hope on the fishtanktv forum for some good dialog..embedded videos ect... thanks for watching!

I have a 60g tank with a 28 watt light, is it underpowered? P.S. It's really bright and a T5.
