@suutari13 Well this is definately not a fact that Im about to say but, I think that the Nazis had a hospital and treated the Jews so that they wouldn't scare them even though im sure they did that the first day most of the Jews arrived. Also im fairly sure that most of the camps had jobs there that they were forced to make goods so also they might have tryed to keep the men and women in shape so that they could produce more goods. But like I said im not that sure there just kinda my opinion.
You are right. The nazis were dependent on the labour of the jews and others to keep their factories running. Of course the inmates have to be treated quite well so their working would be as productive as possible. These camps were work camps and they used forced labour. Most of the people that died at the camps died of typhus and other diseases. Of course its a crime to use people for slave labour but they werent killed as the legend goes.
@suutari13 the gas chambers weren't exactly as obvious as the ovens, I think the only ones who knew about the chambers were the Nazis, the slaves(Jews, homosexuals, and etc) who cleaned them out, the people themselves that died in them

when Elie Wiesel first published the book "Night" there was no reference made to any homicidal "gas chambers". I really had no idea what the holocaust was like until I read this book. If you haven't read this book, you should really consider picking it up.

I recently wrote a paper about this book and the holocaust in general. It seems to me that at its core, humankind has a destructive and savage nature and attempts to vindicate that very behavior with religion and self-righteousness. We crave violence and hate that about ourselves and for that reason this is what most people seek out in their entertainment. This way you refrain from committing the act but satiate your inner craving for savage behavior.
I met a woman from austria who survived the holocaust too this woman then migrated to south america first arrived in Argentina where she was kicked out and ended in brazil...but what's really interesting is that she is such a great human being after all the things she had to go thru, I cried when she told me a little bit of her story and she said the memories of that horrible event will never leave her heart, I look at her and just by looking at her I sensed the sadness in her....so sad :(

@suutari13 Well this is definately not a fact that Im about to say but, I think that the Nazis had a hospital and treated the Jews so that they wouldn't scare them even though im sure they did that the first day most of the Jews arrived. Also im fairly sure that most of the camps had jobs there that they were forced to make goods so also they might have tryed to keep the men and women in shape so that they could produce more goods. But like I said im not that sure there just kinda my opinion.

You are right. The nazis were dependent on the labour of the jews and others to keep their factories running. Of course the inmates have to be treated quite well so their working would be as productive as possible. These camps were work camps and they used forced labour. Most of the people that died at the camps died of typhus and other diseases. Of course its a crime to use people for slave labour but they werent killed as the legend goes.

In later books, he revised his "experiences" and jumps on the gaschamber-bandwagon. About Babi Yar he wrote that months after the killings, the ground was still trembling of the death bodies and geysers of blood spurt from the jewish cadavers.

when Elie Wiesel first published the book "Night" there was no reference made to any homicidal "gas chambers". The perpetually sad-eyed Wiesel added those lies to the 2nd edition after the jews had finalized all of their deceit in regard to the WW2 camps. Another jew named Jerzy Kosinski wrote the book "Painted Bird" as a memoir but that too was all lies. Raul Hilberg published "destruction of the jews" in 1961 and then finally admitted in 1985 that he never even visited any of the camp sites.

I recently wrote a paper about this book and the holocaust in general. It seems to me that at its core, humankind has a destructive and savage nature and attempts to vindicate that very behavior with religion and self-righteousness. We crave violence and hate that about ourselves and for that reason this is what most people seek out in their entertainment. This way you refrain from committing the act but satiate your inner craving for savage behavior.

I met a woman from austria who survived the holocaust too this woman then migrated to south america first arrived in Argentina where she was kicked out and ended in brazil...but what's really interesting is that she is such a great human being after all the things she had to go thru, I cried when she told me a little bit of her story and she said the memories of that horrible event will never leave her heart, I look at her and just by looking at her I sensed the sadness in her....so sad :(

The NYT stated 40 years AFTER the Holocaust that Wiesel was in the famous photo showing starved,naked Jews laying in bunks..before the NYT stated this,never before had Wiesel ever said he was actually in this photo(this is a really famous pic!!!)Not only that,but as his story accounts,he could never have possibly been in it,as at the time it was taken,he was not in Buchenwald but in the hospital,recovering from food poisoning..he said this in his own words,yet claims he is in this photo??weird..

@ 1990, following the fall of the Iron Curtain, the estimated number of people murdered at Auschwitz was lowered from 4 million to @ 1.1 million. This is a fact not disputed by any scholar -- or anyone alive in 1990 who was paying attention. A decrease in the estimated number of those murdered of @ 3 million,
Yet the number of Jews said to be killed in the Holocaust remained at 6 million.
How does 6 - 3 still equal 6? I have yet to see any explanation/rationalization for this.

Me too....I've been wondering the same thing about how if the number at Auschwitz was lowered,why does the 6million stay the same?The Soviets used 4million dead at Ausch. for their own political purposes,but the West accepted the number (though scholars did not)..the true figure didn't reach the public till 1990....it was an allowed lie....anyway,have u come to any conclusions yet?

No. I have googled all over the place and cannot find one attempt to explain how 6 million minus 3 million is still 6 million; never mind a reasonable attempt. No kind of attempt at an explanation.
Another weird thing is that there were reports printed in US newspapers in WWI (WWI, not WWii) stating that 6 million Jews were being murdered. Huh? I do not doubt the Holocaust took place -- but is there an agenda behind the magical number 6 million?

I haven't had much luck either..I mean,scholars have always disregarded the 4 million figure,so maybe they never added it in in the first place but allowed the public to believe otherwise??But didn't Nuremberg accept the figure?I dunno
But you are so right about this 'magical' number 6...the Jews have some obsession with it,even before WWII...i believe it is even mentioned in the Torah..there could be an agenda behind it,but im not completely convinced yet..still researching

im reading this book in english and ive seen Operah Winfrey interview Elie Wiesel and he was intervied at the actual place that took place(auschwitz) which was a really sad scene

hope u see the relation i'm trying to describe..its so difficult cuz i only have a limited amount of words to use..i was trying to say that they accuse arabs of exaggerating numbers, so why is it impossible that the jews exaggerated as well??cuz the jews did.they said the nazis were making soap and lampshades out of jews.that they were being boiled,burned,electrocuted...all those are proven myths.the jews were in shock and said many things that were not fact..its sad they refused to use evidence

Wiesel contradicts himself way too many times in Night...he's made numerous revisions to this story and still it makes no sense...his 'facts' don't make sense to the actual history. Not only that, overall, this man is a hypocrite.apparently a humanitarian.wanting peace.more like power for Israel..doesn't matter about the GENOCIDE of palestinians.its all crap.who benefits, Wiesel nd Israel, who dies? the arabs...nobody says anything,accuse arabs of being terrorists..who put them in that position?

I cant believe that people have the ordasity to say that the Holocaust didn't happen. Elie Wiesel is one of the many survivors to tell the world otherwise and I think the world needs to listen because there are too many ignorant people in this world that are oblivious to this whole matter.

Holocaust deniers is an inaccurate word..Holocaust REVISIONISTS..we do believe the holocaust happened, that many Jews died..but not nearly as many as 6 million and that Hitler did not have the intention to systematically annilhate the entire jewish population..there is no evidence to that...jews said that the nazis were boiling,electrocuting,burning, and gassing them.historians all agree that those are myths, but the gassing is still yet to be proven as a myth.Wiesel's story does not match up
