Bob Dylan is a great song-writer, but other artists do a better job of performing them. I much prefer RATM's "Maggie's Farm," GnR's (hate them, but their version is better) "Knockin' on Heavens Door," Hendrix had a much better "All Along the Watchtower." Just a thought.

They are not RUINING it, they are playing it in their own style of music.
Plus, although I do love both Bob Dylan and the Red Hot Chili Peppers, I think that Bob Dylan is not that good at singing ; he's just a lyrical genius.
So, in my opinion, Red Hot Chili Peppers are just MASTERING it, since I like better their version.
