This kind of work will get you into great shape. You can do this sort of conditioning with HEAVY sleds and sledge hammers too. Check out some of our videos to see how that goes.
Man I love seeing outdoor training with a variety of equipment. BUt my favorite in this vid is that you load your tire sled with your ball, hammer and kb. Very creative.
THis superb training. It looks fun (as in interesting and exciting, though very challenging) and fairly inexpensive. Question: in terms of fat-burning and cardiovascular development, how does this kind of training compare to jogging or running?
the sledgehammer (coming from someons who's never done it, but seen it done), looked like it could've been doen a lot more explosively and when brought down over your head really utilized your abs and hips
On the med ball slam try a underhanded toss up when you catch it off the bounce. And catch the toss then accelerate back into the slam. A good reaction/coordination drill coupled with acceleration and deceleration movements.
@hellomynameis151 What was the point of this post? Actually it was a 60 lb KB, don't think I own a 45lb. This set can be done with more than a 60 even, so I don't know what the point is. Next video I will be sure to zoom in on the actual weight, so no one is confused or upset
hey man i'm taking my CPAT (firefighter fitness test) in december. what kettlebell exercises are most effective for core strength from your experience? i have a 16 lb hammer too love how versatile it is. thanks for any advice
The rope is a tow rope, I think 10 feet, with hooks on both ends (video is 2 of these ropes attached together). The tire I got for free from a junk yard, with a ton of other tires, all different sizes. I bought a loop bolt, with a nut fastener also at home depot, then just screwed it through the tire.
Sledgehammers from home depot also, I have from 6-16 p0unders. I walk through Home Depot all the time, just looking for new fitness ideas. Also wheel barrow, sand bags
Well impressed, excelent, good imagination used re functionality of putting kit inside the tyre as well
