VERY NICE. I am taking piano lessons at my college and I have to chose a song to play by Dec. Do you think this song is to hard for a beginner? any advice would be appreciated. but I figured if I'm goign to spend 2 months learning a song why not something I like. I just learned how to read music .

I had been playing for about 4 and a half years before I uploaded this, and I had been playing the same Phantom songs over, and over, and over, for a few months I guess.

Keep practising; that's all I can say really, and it will come to you nicely I'm sure :)

I want to learn this song! But I haven't played the piano in forever because my creepy tone def grandpa who lives with my family always sits in the chair right next to the piano watching tv all day, every day and tells me I'm bad at piano, even though I most definitely am not. So I can't practice with him there. :(

No matter what, your interpretations of Phantom songs are the best...and the people who pick out bad things about your playing are probably just jealous since I've yet to find another pianist on Youtube who plays with as much depth and emotion as you do. Keep up the great work, you're an inspiration to others!

If you've seen the musical, you would know AIAOY is supposed to be dramatic...especially at the end. And I'd like to see you post a vid of your playing then if you're so confident about your piano skills.

i've been playing since September '02 (so like 5+yrs), and I tend to play classical and soundtrack based music, though I've just started learning jazz basics. despite 5 years of playing I'm not technically good though - still need major refinement

ive just started playing all this phantom stuff, im a blues/ boogie woogie player, you should have a try, its alot of fun to play and will help with your improvisation and in course your technical ability,

ive prob been playing 7 years now, but yeah, i cant video tape my stuff because my keyboard has no inbuilt speakers lol, yamaha mo8. i'll be buying an amp soon though, so when i do :P
