  • Thank you for uploading this song ! ;)

  • aramaic was the spoken language back then , and agood bit of it was incorporated into the siddur we use today . most of us don't know the diff and don't care. any way it's part of the sheva brachot wedding ceremony blessings

  • It's absolutely Hebrew, and completely understandable to any fluent modern Hebrew speaker.

אשר ברא ששון ושמחה חתן וכלה=he that made joy and happiness, bride and groom

גילה, רינה, דיצה, וחדוה, אחוה, ואהבה, שלום, ורעות = mirth, song, delight and rejoicing, love and harmony and peace and companionship

All of the words still exist in modern Hebrew, although the blessing was composed roughly between 200-500 C.E.

And the syntax isn't even that far away from that of modern hebrew.

  • it's Hebrew!!!

    BEAUTIFUL! :)

  • great sound :)

    btw, this isss hebrew

  • Great, a hebrew cover of the 2000-Version of Rock you like a hurricane by the scorpions.

  • just the intro and

  • as long as they ay their royalties, not?

  • Not so sure about this, it sounds similar but its not completely ripped from there

  • I'm not sure as to the reason for the confusion as to the language, but it is clearly in rabbinical/tana'ic Hebrew, a dialect falling between ancient and modern. Those desiring further proof should look in the beginning of Kesubos where the bracha is first found.

  • its yeedish, but demn, beside the annoying lyrics' its great!

  • that's not hebrew you idiot!!

but that's a nice song xD

  • wat is it aremaic??

  • like ancient hebrew... no one speaks it today anyway

  • It's the same language. Every one of those words is in the language today, even if a couple would be archaic and the pronunciation is not modern Israeli.

  • millions of jews pray daily in ancient hebrew.

  • its an ancient language smilar to hebrew but not exactly. it was spoken in ancient babylon

  • @baruch6132

This is definitely Hebrew. more specifically Mishnaic Hebrew.

  • @abialystok

    actually baruch is right.

it is a hebrew song. words are in hebrew, but the singers sing it with american accent.

  • @abialystok actually it is... asher bara sason v'simcha. it's in prayer.
