I wonder if Square Enix has not milked FF7 so much, that a remake will become impossible people are getting so sick of it by now. A remake is extremely risky; although Super Mario All Stars was a success, this was back in the 16 bit era, and the games held up well, FF7 has been beat how many times now by its hardcore fans?

well they've been doing a rather good job of prequals and the 2 sequals, plus fans have been barrading them with demands for a remake, they've also said they wouldnt stop the compilation till 2017, 20 years of ffvii is fine by me anyway

@ strangelong: You forgot about the Black Mages Version...and some other orchesters did some variations too, so it should be more than 100 when you count them in.

The reason why many people say AC's is the best version: No wonder, was like massive positive shock when you hear his boss music 10 years after the final battle of FF7 again....at least in my case it was like that ^^

This was the original Lyrical set. From the game FF7. In Advent Children, the newer Lyric set was used. And yes, it is Sephiroth, not Sancti Mas.  They're saying his name the Japanese way, which sounds like Seff-ee-rah-ss.
