  • Anyone who knows what the name of the chord at 3:40 is? Just a basic D?

  • @patrickrennemomusic i think it's a D5

  • @patrickrennemomusic yeah but you strum just on string 6,5 4 and 3 like a power chord so you get that "fat sound".

  • Kia ora Eric, Is that a MIM classic 50's strat Daphnie blue? or is it made in america

  • For me Eric Clapton so shit in music

  • The Old Wolf.

  • He comes here with great respect every year. Catches some Salmon and has a good time. He deserves that. Iceland

  • great stuff...hmm 21 people must be deaf

  • Tried to listen to this completely without doing an airguitar......IMPOSSIBRU!!!!!!!!!!

  • @fazg2

    epic comment, epic comment

  • @hajken12 You have a small penis...

  • Comment removed

  • @hajken12 i know right!

  • Gadd Rules!

  • WhoTF can dislike this

  • Love the bass :)

  • The tone is fucked.

  • @Sandler41882 What's wrong with it? Sounds good to me.

  • clapton's playing has always been awesome! his HAIR on the other hand...

  • 20 DISLIKES WTF!!!!!!!!!

  • @betoven2030 20 people without a good ear for great music ;)

  • @danigoni You got that right. It was only an observation. I play a 2007 American Standard Strat and it sound great.

  • Das beste Lied aller Zeiten!!!!!! Eric Clapton, Slow-Hand-Guitar-God!

  • Robert Johnson... like if you get it.

  • @MrHellothisisme Definitely get it

  • Played a little bit too slow for me!?

Much better at the Albert Hall in 2006!!

  • @nemeskornel And better still at RAH, 12/26/68, with cranked Marshalls and PAFs.

  • Only going to say: "thank you" :)

  • This is real crossroads...>> Smak-Crossroads

  • @LuvnOldees Seems Clapton is the only living legend using new Strats. Everybody else seems to use pre-CBS vintage Stratocasters.

  • @jkryanspark It's not the guitar, it's who plays it.

  • Go back to the crossroads once again Clapton, 'cause the devil apparently forgot to give you something he promised to give you the last time you guys met.

  • i though there were two guitars...

  • Immaculate leads. By the way...the axe was new. EC does that a lot. I think every town he has played has had a music store give him a new one. The man has got to have a warehouse of 'em..lol.

  • Beiçola Rock's!

  • The skill of the guitarists of the year still amazes 60/70, good music like this one or that of the "Smokehouse" in Bigfork Montasna, fills my heart with joy. Great America!

  • Great video, what else can one expect from the master of the guitar!? Thanks.

  • I said all...

  • Clapton is God...

  • As much as I love Clapton, he sure looks like Bob Dylan's grandmother with that hair...

  • Good version but live version on Cream's "Wheels of Fire" is tops!

  • 17 people LUVE justin bieber bubba!!!

  • Just love it! Clapton is god ♥

  • So nice and influential,... a few days ago I had the opportunity to listen to this one once again, this time played by a mixture of very young and elder musicians. Check them out at 1000 Demonios Blues Band. LIve Sala Karma. Quite nice indeed,...

  • 4:50-4:53 was SMOOTH AS BUTTER!! And his guitar is gorgeous!

  • @wow183 Yep.....but way too slow!

  • SMAK-CROSSROADS

    watch?v=AG9IsXlw5BY

  • this is pure energy

  • Find and listen SMAK-CROSSROADS.......the best version of R.Johnson song !!!

  • hows on the piano at 3:07 ?

  • One of the best songs played by one of the best

  • very grazy.........

  • ...and on the eigth day God Became Eric Clapton and played guitar.....

  • The real question is, what was his niece doing at the crossroads?

  • Please, somebody make these girls shut the f&%ck up.

  • So many different styles of playing E.C. has in his bag...over all the decades.. Yep he is getting older... I am too... I have to see him perform someday before one of us croaks. lol

  • No one is better than Eric Clapton. There are many incredible guitarists, but when he plays it makes you forget about all of them. Eric Clapton is God!

  • so fluid... listen from 2:17 thru 2:21 ...listen to the precision of that run of notes...

  • as well; as BB King..Alberts Lee and King...he can even be Ben E King....notice the name King?

Eric does it all sooooo well...Brilliant! ...Oh and most importantly, Eric is Eric!!!

  • Robert Johnson is certainly behind this...but look who's well in front of it!! The dedicated blues man that is our Eric!! Robert J was a great souled black man who learned his trade so very well. Eric is an English white man that does more than fine justice to Mr J's song. For an English white man, that's no easy task but Eric has done it all his life and IS Robert Johnson!!!

  • clapton once was called the god of guitar, and still he is,I think. there´s only one compares to him,and this is jimi hendrix, the great genius. too bad he´s gone much before his time...

  • steve gadd still kicks ass!!! so sir eric himself!! thx for uploading this vid

  • Eric looks like a hippie freak with his hair. but that does not matter as long as he plays his guitar like this!

  • 日本にもこんなお方がいたらいいのになぁ^^

  • who says eric clapton is OLD

  • บึ๊ด จั้ม บึ้ด 5555+

  • Clapton rocks on into old age. What a great example. He never stops amazing me.

  • aoohhhh! <3 !

  • すっかり風貌も変わったけど、演奏は若いね。

    若っかった時よりも演奏が若いよ。

    ギターもお若い色です(笑)

  • @ikutama48 i don't know what you saying but i love japan :)

  • amazing

  • @pistolCrockett Gadd...God!

  • Chris Stainton on keyboards...

  • I take it all back Eric lol - Love Man

  • steve gadd on drums?

  • Great song, expecially ifyou've ever hitch-hiked anywhere!

  • This is a very good version, lots of bass, back up vocals are fabulous, but I like the Album version better... Eric Clapton at his finest

  • You pay for what you get- clapton is pure class

  • Clapton charges too much money for tickets.

  • @burnindownthehouse how much is it?

  • แก่แบบมีคุณค่าไม่ได้แก่กระโหลกกระลาแบบคนไทยแก่แต่เก๋าคนไทยแก่แต่เก๋า เจ้ง

  • Nice and SOLID bass work, lovin' it.

  • SIMPLESMENTE ERIC CLAPTON

  • 17 clueless, humorless souls out of a multitude. Who's next?

  • That tone must be patented.Could pick him out of a crowd of the best in the dark.

  • 16 pricks,Tought the "Dislike - Button" Was:Dis-i-like button.

  • @palmettokind totally agree with you there!

  • Oh God, please give me a black woman like that.

  • look how Serbian Guitar Master plays this song , and tell wats better

  • Where can I find this for download? I like it way more than the regular version but I can't find it anywhere other than the movie!

  • Clapton gets better with age, this is my new favorite version of Crossroads!

  • He his so good that I forgive him for his hairstyle

  • O CLAPTON TA PARECENDO O BEIÇOLA

  • 15 Pricks.....

  • ...Willie Weeks and Steve Gadd bass and drums !

  • Thank you, Robert Johnson. R.I.P.

    Eric Clapton is The Man.

    Period.

  • Psycho Guitar,

    Eric you are The God!

  • this is real music, not about looks.

all bout dem sweet music :)

  • Let's not forget Robert Johnson is behind all of this.

  • @petemcclelland100

    of course!!!!

i think he's the last to forget it!!!

    don't you think??

    sincere regards...

  • @petemcclelland100 oh really...

  • @petemcclelland100 On bass? I thought I recognized him !!

  • @dacrowster

Robert Johnson, not Robert Cray, and it's not Cray on the bass either lol

  • @oliverandm ahahah :)

  • obama on bass, lol

  • this was the last song he played in the show i went. I went to the front of the stage, i just can't remember anything but feeiling marvelous. It was a dream man

  • 12 people didn't sell their souls.

  • My parents named me after Eric Clapton and Stevie Ray Vaughan.

  • ¿Quien es el teclista del organo Hammond ?, el que está delante de las chicas.

  • Does anybody know why Mark Knopfler wasn't there??:S

  • LEGENDARY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Nathan East is his usual bassist

  • nice vid

  • Willie Weeks on the bass, probably one of the most recorded bassists ever. He's awesome.

  • damn i want that guitar s badly.. just wish im that good like clapton.. damn.. god with guitars..

  • Played along with this using the original lead breaks from the Fresh Cream album and realized just how better this would of been had he gone a a bit faster, and done that same type of bluesy lead work instead of sticking to the standard rock box blues style. Just my opinion as I have grown up with his work since the Yardbirds and onwards. Amazing man, and great cause.

  • That bass player is one cool friggin dude.

  • Amazing performance, however I felt the extremely repetitive 8th note piano part throughout most of the song took away from the bluesy, dirtiness that this song was known for.....and for me, a piano player, I hate to say, but it kind of got annoying

  • @guitarman1568 - I agree, but when I saw it was Chris Stainton I thought, "meh, he can play what he likes" :-D Now to think up some variations - playing it this weekend.

  • just nice..wow

  • Bog svira BLUZ !!!!!

  • nice touch, jeans with holes in em.

  • Steve Gadd on drum?

  • This 360p is better than most other videos 1080i.

  • Carl Verheyen should be there at the crossroads!!!!

  • Carl Verheyen should be there at crossroads!!!

  • Carl Verheyen should be there at crossroads!!!

  • Barack Obama on the bass ?!

  • I love it. Has the old troubadour groove and really kicks. Nice one Mr. Clapton. Peace, Blue. What's with all the trite one liners on this video? Really, really, what is it with You Tube and these pathetic comments.

  • anyone knows what fender stratocaster that is exactly?

  • @maxflyingcowboy the clapton stratocaster series

  • And the brown sugar SWEET

  • yeah the BASS is gettting it done toooooooooooooo!

  • please god let clapton live for ever, dear god, the wold will be emty whitout him

  • \O/ muito show...

  • such a fat sound from his strat lol... damn wish i could get that tone :)

  • That bass line is really sweet too, turn up your bass on your speakers if you can... every time you hear this, you can hear something new that's amazing! :-)

  • @xubean Hell of a rhythm section.

  • @xubean - WIllie Weeks on bass is one of the true legends of rock. Google him. While you are there, look up Steve Gadd the drummer. I guess when you are Clapton, you pick up the phone and say "wanna gig?"

  • I like it - a little raggie'ish

  • ty

  • Getting better with age? I think so..good shit.

  • Thumbs up if u think claptons look old< no disrespects he is still the man

  • @TheGuitarmusicguy mate, he's 66;) he can't look like he's 30:) everyone is gettin older and older every day:)

  • @TheGuitarmusicguy why would you want a thumb up for such an dumb comment

  • WOW....9 dislikes....Must be Bieber fans !!!!!!

  • @nkm1959 Why would you even mention his name on this video. That is an insult to Clapton and everyone else that didn't sell out to the new "music"

  • Fucking great. Fuck all the others, this man is real thing. Get it hard with Uncle Eric and come in your pants.

    Fucking fucking fucking great.

  • Very listenable. EC's playing was comfortable and fluid. Still not a fan of his strat tone, but this was enjoyable.

  • Can't believe how good he still is!!

  • He is simply my greatest influence. He inspired me to play, and I am lucky to have met him and share a birthday with him.

  • @TheExiledTexan Hola,Greetings from Argentina! I have my tickets for Slowhand, here in Argentina next 14 october,my birthday!A gift from my son.I never see him in a concert.I can t believe it.Ole,ole, ole!Clapton!!!!!we love their music,we love the blues of your country,a handshake for you ExiledTexan!(and sorry my english)

  • @TheExiledTexan , lol hey dude he has inspired me to play as well , my daughter plays and she is terrific and now i am going to start learning as well and i am 49 lol but hey what the hell u only live once

  • @MrFilimonov18 Never too late. Good luck!

  • @TheExiledTexan I was able meet EC back in the 70's or 80's in his first show after he recovered from a bleeding ulcer and found him to be very friendly and polite and funny too! Others might be faster - but so one can keep an audience enthralled for an hour on a single song with a singing guitar solo like Eric: He's showing even todaY HE IS STILL ranking as one of the all-time GREATS!

  • the solo gave me white stains

  • There has only been one Jimi next are Clapton and Buddy guy.

It makes no difference all 3 are and always will be the best ever.

  • Very Very Good Always the BEST

  • today's music is cheap. we'll be screwed when guys like Clapton are gone.

  • @loonybin007 you're bringin tears to my eye =(

  • @loonybin007 no, just no. there is a lot of great music.

It's just overshadowed by the mountain of crap that is mainstream media.

  • well...he is God...perhaps you can find faster guitar players, or more exotic players..perhaps you can tell me about modern and complex blues players...but God Clapton´s playin´ is just PERFECT...always...even in his worse times, is the best

  • @EduardoAllo ...=/ you're walkin into Hell's territory, callin people God like that y'know...

  • @BlackHawkGaming Don´t care, if there´s Clapton playin´, Hell should be better place than Heaven...

As time goes by, this man comes better and better, as if he was a good wine...that broken voice, that cryin´guitar touch, that soul....fuck fuck fuck!!

  • @EduardoAllo =/ no one said clapton was going to hell...but if he is, I hope you enjoy the show? =P

  • Great performance! Who are the background singers? They are smokin'... :-))).

  • Clapton looks like some sort of mad scientist now hehe

  • i am going to spend all day trying to perfect of a cover of this
