Go back to the crossroads once again Clapton, 'cause the devil apparently forgot to give you something he promised to give you the last time you guys met.
Immaculate leads. By the way...the axe was new. EC does that a lot. I think every town he has played has had a music store give him a new one. The man has got to have a warehouse of 'em..lol.
The skill of the guitarists of the year still amazes 60/70, good music like this one or that of the "Smokehouse" in Bigfork Montasna, fills my heart with joy. Great America!
So nice and influential,... a few days ago I had the opportunity to listen to this one once again, this time played by a mixture of very young and elder musicians. Check them out at 1000 Demonios Blues Band. LIve Sala Karma. Quite nice indeed,...
So many different styles of playing E.C. has in his bag...over all the decades.. Yep he is getting older... I am too... I have to see him perform someday before one of us croaks. lol
No one is better than Eric Clapton. There are many incredible guitarists, but when he plays it makes you forget about all of them. Eric Clapton is God!
Robert Johnson is certainly behind this...but look who's well in front of it!! The dedicated blues man that is our Eric!! Robert J was a great souled black man who learned his trade so very well. Eric is an English white man that does more than fine justice to Mr J's song. For an English white man, that's no easy task but Eric has done it all his life and IS Robert Johnson!!!
clapton once was called the god of guitar, and still he is,I think. there´s only one compares to him,and this is jimi hendrix, the great genius. too bad he´s gone much before his time...
this was the last song he played in the show i went. I went to the front of the stage, i just can't remember anything but feeiling marvelous. It was a dream man
