  • is ok ....see my video

  • 4 preschoolers, 2 highschoolers or 1 morbidly obese American child.

  • Thats the most confusing seat belt I have ever seen

  • Even using seatbelt cutters.. there is no way you would get to all the seatbelts in a life threatening emergency!

  • I watched a video IN MY SCHOOL BUS TRAINING that showed children having LIFE THREATENING INTERNAL INJURIES because of using a seatbelt on the bus!

  • btw.. i didn't even bother watching your video.. i reported it as spam!! LOL

  • Go ahead & waste ur stupid time unbuckling your seatbelts while kids on my bus are safely away from ur bus watching what morons you are!

  • What happens if the bus is in an accident? how is the bus driver suppose to take a belt cutter to all 71+ passengers if the bus is on fire? belts just arnt plausible on a school bus. Plus buses are designed to withstand major impact without hurting occupants

  • What happens if the bus is in an accident? how is the bus driver suppose to take a belt cutter to all 71+ passangers if the bus is on fire?

  • its called unbucling you tard

  • this is definitly stupid, they're not thinking of the people who wont fit in these seatbelts, i sure know i wouldnt be able to

  • how stupid

  • I drive a school bus.

If there is a life threatening emergency..

such as being stuck on the train tracks with an oncoming train.. or a fire

How does ONE PERSON unbuckle 40 PLUS seatbelts and get all the children out safely in time???

    IT CANNOT BE DONE!!!!!

Would you want to be the one in this predicament?????

  • @mcnerneysgirl

You cut them! If in a real emergency you cut the seat belt, worry about the buckle later

  • @schoolbusfanatic Still cant be done in time. You go ahead and cut 48 plus seatbelts while you have a freight train travelling towards you. I will opt for getting my kids out of the bus real quick! :)

  • once again, its called unbuckling!!

  • OMG

  • now all u have to do is make them wear them

  • i like how nice the kids are sitting there ......ya right

  • bus seat belts are for retards. literally.

  • '

    that is cooool,,,

all school buses must have seat belts all the times

  • i only wear my seat belt when im fucked up or dont feel safe hahaha

  • im a bus driver with a bus that is only 2 years old ..Im all for this

  • Good idea !

  • Get real, America. Does anyone actually think that these could exist for any length of time? They look nice when the kids are actors in a scripted video, but does anyone really think that children of any age are going to properly use these? Moving the buckles around, actually buckling up...if they refuse and the driver has to discipline them then that costs time...and who pays to replace them when they get vandalized? This is just ridiculous. Next they'll just lock our kids in plastic bubbles.

  • @IlyushinIL2

So kids that do care about safety and want to buckle up shouldn't have the option?

  • @meatwad21121 Those seats are padded with layers upon layers of foam to keep kids safe, and the bus itself is built like an M1 tank. Bus drivers drive extremely slow and carefully, they have flashing signs and state-enforced laws protecting them, and they stop at EVERY rail crossing, even ones that haven't been used in 20 years. Seat belts are a) overkill b) a needless hassle for kids, bus drivers, and taxpayers alike--they'd be vandalized within five minutes of installation.

  • @IlyushinIL2 And the driver will be held responsible if the students all the way in the back aren't wearing them and get hurt. As the driver, you are responsible.

  • @schoolbusfanatic YES, why do peopole not understand this??? When Im driving my 71 Pass. bus, that's 71 Law suites if I happen to make a wrong move!

  • @IlyushinIL2 I agree.. that is another problem with having seatbelts installed. :)

  • They REALLY should those in school buses.

  • Seat belts and use required are on the way for all school buses. To act out refusing to wear them expect immediate removal until resolved. That is on buses where the bus driver and school staff are in charge of the bus environment. The other warning is when unbuckled and injured during the normal operation of the bus or in a crash expect most of the medical expenses paid by your parents, not the insurance company or the school district. Expect the same result when riding in a car.

  • @2safeschools The day that they install the seatbelts is the last day mine will be allowed to ride the bus.

  • what about in case of fire little kids could die

  • guess what? you can unbuckle in 0.8 seconds!!! omg

  • @harlomglobetrotters That's exactly the argument used back in the 30's when people didn't like seatbelts in cars. The point is to get the kids to survive the collision. After which, fire or evacuation can be addressed. Of course in the event that you have a sudden collision, and a big, fast fire, what you're saying would come true. But most accidents don't involve that, so in sum total seat belts save a lot of lives.

  • I wonder why seat belts havent become mandatory by law in school buses?

  • What a gay invention

  • this proves all schools have turned in to pussys

  • If we look on thhese busses that i use to get to school sometimes becouse my parents take me to school....shit..... ok so if we would take one american scool bus and one latvian bus (here's no scool busses) latvian bus is bullshit!!!

  • that cheerleader hawt

  • I ride a Saf-T Liner C2 and there are lap belts, but not these, no one uses those either lol.

  • I've seen a few of these buses in my my school district

  • My school uses a shortened version of it with a wheelchair access door

  • having seatbelt is not enough if the roof collapse, in Europe many buses are now equiped with R66 standard along with the seat belt for motor coach. for buses with R66 standard, the roof don't collapse after rollover

  • what kind of bus as airconditioner>?

  • Every school bus in my school district which is near Pheonix because it can reach 120 degrees fahrenheit or 48 degrees celsius if you don't live in the United States

  • my bus was the saf-t-liner c2 and it did not have safeguard flexseat

  • Most likely isn't a standard feature. Congratulations on scoring a C2, though.

  • thank you

  • well im gonna have to say that the students fluent in physics class would more then happily put on a seatbelt. i seriously dont understand how parents can worry so much about their childs safety, and then ship them to school everyday unrestrained inside of 22,000 pounds of steel

  • @bg1379 this is a common concern. however, most lap/shoulder belt early-adopters have told us this isn't really a problem.

  • I can't help but think that all high-schoolers and middle-schoolers will not wear these seat belts, and will probably end up vandalizing them.

  • @bg1379 ur right cause im inmiddle school and im not wearing no shitty seat belt

  • I am against this because when I went to school and I rode on the school bus in the county that I live in I saw one bus that was FILLED with students and also, on bus splits it was also FILLED.

  • i think all school buses all over the world should have seat belt just not in the the us but in canada should be in the law u have to wear a seat belt in any other kind of car
