  • Wow, I dont know how I have never heard this song by Charley Pride before. He really did a great job. Stop by my channel sometime and check out my version of this great old song.

  • GOOD VERSION OF THIS SONG....LIKE NAT KING COLE'S VERSION BETTER THOUGH.IT JUST TIPS THE EDGE FOR ME...BUT THANKS FOR POSTING X

  • they use to call him "country charlie pride" he is such a great country singer..that even those die heart red necks have accepted this man...along with his dark skin..truly and amazing miracle...read when he first came on stage..for the first time...at the grand ole opry...the crowd saw him for the first time as being black..but he just joked about it.. said he was the same as they were...just a little darker...and he has been the only back country singer i have known...that's talent

  • Like many of you, I grew up listening to Charley sing and loving every song he has sung. For the past almost 40 years he has been my favourite singer.

He has such an incredibly clear, strong, and masculine sound to his singing and yet it's very gentle and caring at the same time. His singing always made me feel safe as a little kid.

    Thank you Charley Pride.

  • @aaron31967 oh yes, I also grew up with him, 40 years or so, just great.

  • This was my favorite! I used to stack those records up on the record player, sing, dance, and clean house all day.

  • My Dad's favorite song - especially by Nat King Cole

  • 1 Cor. 13:11 (KJV) When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.

Who can cling to a rambling old woman? or man?

  • I've never heard this version before. It has country feeling.

  • Great version!

    But--Nat King Cole´s version rules!

  • Like your comment so enjoying life ends after marriage, huh?

  • Not at all, I have been married for 12 years now and life is great. Better than many of my single years to be honest, like most things, its what you make of it. It's all in the selection!!!

  • ..Yes. September 15, 1962: "Ramblin' Rose" reaches #2, becoming Nat King Cole's highest-charting pop single. It also hits #1 on the Adult Contemporary chart and #7 on the R&B chart.
