HMMWV = High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle, or Humvee for short. The vehicle in this video is NOT a Humvee. It is a Hummer H2, which means, basically, its a GMC Yukon. A real Humvee (The military version) wouldnt have any trouble in that sand. A Hummer H1 wouldnt have any trouble either. H2 or H3 however, are less effective off road.

@Sodiumreactor Perfect way of explaining it...for those that still don't understand...the H1 ...aka ORIGINAL Hummer...is a offroad military vehicle designed to withstand and trudge the the worst of the worst...the H2 and H3 is nothing more than a civilian created vehicle with the slight resemblance of the Original badboys....

@Sodiumreactor Wrong, the original Hummer would still have trouble in deep loose sand (I know, I used to own one before it became the car of choice for epic douchebags). The hummer (any model) is way too heavy, they weigh more than double most REAL 4x4s. LC's on the other hand are the world's best 4x4 hands down. The only wheeled vehicle capable of operating in the Arctic and Antarctic is Land Cruiser. I have a collection of TLC's, some with >400K miles, no Hummer can do that.

nylon sling work ok for towing but what you really should use is a knetic energy sling.. its streachy and won't damage either vechile and works a milllion times better in soft terain
