The customer thinks "WOW GREAT DEAL, I'M ALWAYS GOING TO SHOP HERE!", but they don't notice that they raise the price on a ton of smaller items that people buy everyday without looking at the price tag, so that they can make up that lost money. I know this because I work there and I do these price changes daily.
