  • Dude, I've lived in maple valley all my life and not once has there been a tornado reported in the area. If this is the real deal, then comgrats.

  • This was not last year. I think it was in 2007 or 2006 when we got that tornado.

  • @ChloeALaPunkPrincess September 6, 2009 I know someone whos house got damaged

  • @spenceisthebest Ah, I wasn't in Washington at the time. That would explain.

  • @ChloeALaPunkPrincess no it was 09, I live only a few miles from Enumclaw.

  • @kinnkilla2 No I meant I was in Canada at the time but I live in Everett.

  • @ChloeALaPunkPrincess It was Sept. 6, 2009. I was camping about two miles away.

  • i was there crazy wind storms all around i was up visiting my aunt

  • Enumclaw is a little close to us (not giving out PI, just saying)...

That night, we had probably one of the craziest thunderstorms ever, along with tornado watches/warnings.

Guess what? I slept through it. D:

  • i live right by u well not really ur on that big hill with the gate ur dad must own gamblin motors

  • ive been to enumclaw my aunt lived there form 2001-2003 she lived in a haunted house

  • this was a confirmed tornado - a low ef1- The 1972 vancouver tornado was the deadliest single tornado of that year- on Oct 13-2009 SPC almost issued a slight risk for Western Washington for tornadoes- there were two funnel clouds reported- hail thunder so though rare West Washington can have and does have tornadoes!

  • Agreed. That didn't seem too powerful nor dangerous.

  • tornadoes scare me. it sucks because i live in enumclaw.

  • amaizin!

  • How on earth could that happen in western Washington, so close to the mountains?

  • Doesn't matter where you are, a tornado can form anywhere on earth.

And yes, even Antarctica, if conditions were correct :)

  • doesnt matter where you live tornadoes can form if the conditions are right

  • did you know if global warming doesnt stop we will have more

  • Its crazy that back in 1972 there were 2 EF-3 tornados in Wa state. The tornado in Vancouver killed 6 and injured around 300. We will probably never see anything like that again or atleast not in a long long time!

  • 99minerkc: The tornado in this video is an EF-1... I was referencing the Vancouver,wa tornado which was ACTUALLY a weak EF-2....

  • Thats what I was talking about. Both this and the Vancouver tornado was EF-1. Like I said, look it up. Nobody said the tornado was EF-2. The winds in the Vancouver tornado were 90-110 mph, officially.

  • I have the newspaper article to that Vancouver, you can't prove me wrong on this...

  • OK buddy, Look and listen...

The Vancouver tornado was an EF-2 ( weak EF-2 ) I don't care what your newspaper articles say ok.

I have velocity sector scans ( inbound and outbound ) at the time of formation during maturity and rope out stage and official documentation from the NWS as well as information from a Pro MET buddy of mine @ NWS Seattle that confirms the Vancouver tornado was a weak EF-2...

  • Not trying to fight with you, and I understand where you are getting this from, but the NWS in Portland even confirmed an EF-1. I am sending you another message, and this one is directly from the NWS "Past Storms" page.

  • ok dude, YOU listen. we've never had a tornado. so take a chill pill and go sulk about it somewhere else

  • I sent you a message, including a link to the preliminary reports from January 10th 2008.

  • I was at my friends house while this happened!...I live in Enumclaw...near Thunder Mt. Middle School...

  • The Tornado in Vancouver in 2008 was actually classified a weak EF-2 not an EF-1

  • It wasn't an EF-2, the winds in the vortex were about as high as this tornado. Look it up, every article says EF-1.

  • The winds were officially 90-110 mph in the vortex.

  • An EF-2 hit my property in NH(USA)and on 1 acer took down 70+ trees! You're telling me that this one is an EF2? Maybe but it seems more like a 1 considering the minimal damage!

  • It was a confirmed EF-1. I only hope this thing sucked up the guy who ran that horse ranch there in Enumclaw where that one visiting guy came for animal sex, got mounted by a horse and died. That's not BS, by the way, that actually happened.

  • Ya thats some sick shit!

  • I could have lived happily the rest of my life without knowing that.

    do not want kthnx.

  • That's nice, you go play with Casey Kahne down the street then, kthxbai.

Or just go back to your brown bottle flu and leave the rest of us to enjoy this line of conversation, already in progress. Have a nice day. :-)

  • And fuck you too ;)

  • You'd get bored and I'd fall asleep. go play with your sister, kthxbai.

  • Damn right I'd get bored, you're probably prude and aids ridden ;)

  • If I was, I only have your mother to blame. Tell her she left her shoes here, BTW...

  • @SenorSpode

That was the poorest comeback ever. I was embarrassed just reading it. You either have no shame or are very brave to have posted it.

  • And yet you keep replying, twatstain...

  • Gee...To think I used to keep bees on the top of that hill....

BTW...Are their still bees gitting into your fountain?

  • I saw news coverage on that tornado, the NWS has confirmed it an EF1, which is the strongest since the January 2008 Vancouver tornado. Winds inside that vortex went to 110 mph. Demolished a barn, and downed over a dozen trees.

Oh and for anyone who doubts this was a tornado, go ahead and check out the storm reports page on the Storm Prediction Center, its there.

  • Hey, with all the hundreds of acres of corn Enumclaw has been planting lately, the tornadoes must be mistaking us for some place in Nebraska=)

  • you don't see the clouds basicly touching the ground? well you sir, get a thumbs down.

  • i could see the storm from buckley and thought it looked bad. Its crazy a tornado came from it. just as crazy as a huge winterstorm

  • definitely NOT a mild wind! It was wild!

  • i just fell something wrong on the sky, i saw a cloud looking like one of those super cells that appear before a tornado, moving through Auburn to the east, before a storm hit us. maybe just my imagination! hehe

  • my buddy saw it and said it was about 200 feet wide. kinda funny if enumclaw becomes a tornado alley

  • ahhhh ur video was allll over the news!

i saw it on komo and king! :)

    good job!

  • Sure was a wild weather day Sunday. I did a time lapse of the storm clouds rolling through for about 6 hours, was amazing to watch all the changes, really neat formations up here in Lake Stevens in the convergance zone.

  • that's funny, I watched that.

  • It does not look like much as the video was taken by a digital camera on video mode. What you can see is the swirling clouds at the base really rotating in a circular motion.

  • Cant really see anything signifigant here. Just looks like mild wind to be honest

  • wow - and thanks for having this online - i had to show it to a couple friends so they wouldn't think i was crazy... XD

  • very crazy, I was watching this cell on the radar, it was long narrow and deep red, then it spread out and turned more orange as it went past enumclaw and headed to Fall City here, we did get some lightning and thunder from it though.

  • thanks for sharing
