There is a thing called trypophobia, which I have a little bit. It is a fear of tiny clusters of holes. It sounds made up but its real. I look at that frog and my skin crawls. I don't know why. Quite a few other people have this reaction too.

@5pacedooky Curious. I do get it from cheese. Not so much swiss as that is mostly holes... but stuff like edam. Every time I see a bubble hole in it, I scrape it out so it isn't shiny and spherical any more. When I make pancakes, every time a bubble pops open, I have to fill the hole with more pancake-mix or risk freaking out.

@5pacedooky Ugh, yes. Strangely an old flatmate off mine also had trypophobia. We found out when we watched a documentary featuring these toads, and simultaneously screamed and hid behind our cushions when the eggs started hatching (neither of us are shrieky types usually).

She was if anything worse than me - she would get freaked out when cooking penne because when she drained it the tubes would all align and she'd be confronted with a mass of holes.

Not much affects me when it comes to strange animals, but I'll admit, this frog weirds me out.
