The Sea Shepherds hit where it hurts. As we all know by now, Whales are very susceptible to toxins (just like mercury). Well, when the japanese kill a whale, the Shepherds use the legally harmless "stink bombs" to taint the meat so the whalers can't profit from it. So now they've spent the costs of fuel, salaries for their men, food & supplies, whatever licenses, and bribes... and have nothing to show for it but bankruptcy.

This, plus the court battles, will bring it all to an end PERMANENTLY!

@rattattack1313 The Greenpeace boats Esperanza and Artic Sunrise do sometimes go down to stop whaling but all they do is take pictures. They are featured in 2 documentaries but no on the show Whale Wars. Sea Shepherd do alot more than greenpeace in the fight against Whalers but they don't really get along and greenpeace refuse to exchange coordinates etc

I didn't mean to imply that it was just the Japanese fault, because obviously other countries were also involved. Whaling has become illegal because the animals are endangered. Japan is a member of the IWC (International Whaling Commission) and because the IWC introduced a ban on commercial whaling, Japan must follow that law and no longer whale, but because they still do they are doing it illegally.

ok i understand the problem that Greenpeace has with Sea Shepherd Conservation Society but they both have to live it back and both to corporate and with they four ships , Steve Irwin - Ady Gil - Esperanza and Antarctic Sunrise they can prevent the killing of 30% of the set quota but maybe even 60-70% that will shake the whalers hard

P.S. Why havent Greenpeace returned in the Antarctic Whale Sanctuary for two years?
