I remember this scene in Star Wars use to scare me as a little kid.

I use to think that the dianoga monster was one-eyed snake, but then later on after playing Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire for the Nintendo64, that it was a one-eyed squid.

After the clone wars and the pascification of Gizor Delso's attempt to respawn the CIS army on mustifar, the empire was lead to kamino where a special detatchment of clones, as well from the genetics of Jango Fett were bred to fight the empire. Afterwards, the empire declared one template for all clones was too succeptibal to corruption. therefore, the clones diversified

They all started off as clones from Jango Fett, but after the Kamino insurrection, they decided to clone them from others to ensure that they wouldnt turn on them again, although the 501st legion (aka 'Vaders Fist') remained pure. Most of them were the clones of imperial govenors like Govenor Tarken for one example.
