  • すごいかっこいい~!

  • Lame

  • Is this commercial meant to promote WRC 2011? Somehow I see more focus of Namie Amuro than the rugby team member. So the Coca Cola screwed this commercial esp the ending should be focus on Both Namie and the team NOT Namie taking most of the big sceen, This CM says Namie Amuro DOMINATES the ALLBLACK. Pft...that's BS.

  • 確かに苦情きてもおかしくない…

  • @fantomRedux I think that its all cool... but the only problem is that the haka has been cut up that it sounds stupid... i thnk in that sense people hav the right to b annoyed... its like Beyonce having her song on an ad but it gets cut up real bad and sounds ugly.... she wudnt b happy... and as NZers the haka belongs to us... and as Maori even more so... so we kind of hav the right to b annoyed if it sounds dum... which it does.

  • I reckon this is cool. But if they had got some expert advice on it... it wud hav been even better. I know people who cud of made that track sound PHAT and have the words make sense!

  • It's an ad for crying out loud, I'm pretty sure they wouldn't give a shit if it was a bunch of samurai instead of a group of girls dancing, and neither would you. That would be phat. I'm Maori and take no offense to it, how many times do we see other cultures being made fun of on tv on a daily basis? Does that make you angry? I doubt it, you're laughing just like everyone else. Imitation is flattery. This is an interpretation, pull your elitist stick out of your ass.

  • namie is a queen!

  • I can agree with Atsuto however not only are they taking the piss out of our culture but also the All Blacks too... dont go there with either but both... dont think so for real that was crap.

Awesome moves on both parties I get the symetry 2 different kinds of warriors as equals for real its offensive to my culture irrespective the maori culture has alot of old traditions males dominate alot of these traditions, I like the feel of the add females are equal...!

  • i find this as another weird Japanese commercial.

  • they should definitely show this shit on NZ TV NOW!!!!!!!! this is some frikkin cool AD!!!!! crazy!

  • Random......but Namie owns the Haka

  • anyone in my opinion performing the ka mate haka outside Aotearoa and without permission from Ngati Toa is no better than the worst plagiarizer and no different to say stealing a best selling authors book and claiming it as your own but not before you fill it with grammatical errors because you can never understand its true meaning

  • after this, an orgy

  • after this, the orgy

  • 口咖口拉哩弱...

    可愛的口音~

  • i'm glad that cokezero didnt manage to put ayumi hamaSUCKi here. LOL

  • @ereon07 Hamasaki Ayumi is not dancing artist that's why the management did not get her as the commercial artist!... haha.... If coke will get AYUMI HAMASAKI the commercial is more like summer theme...

  • @anthonysan08 ahaha...no hate against Ayumi but your statement is actually incorrect. Have you seen the summer 2010 commercial? Or the more recent 2011 biker theme?

Perhaps you didn't consider the possibility that coke wanted Namie Amuro to endorse them? Just saying,

  • Maori people are renown in NZ for having a good sense of humour and one that loves to take the mickey all in good spirit.

In saying this, we are a proud people and respect must be given to sacred practices such as haka. Dignity must be upheld. If you're going to do it, do it right!

And come on Coca-Cola, you have enough money to give a fair settlement for use of a culturally specific theme (Maori haka). Shame on you for trying to be stingey or above the law.Tena rawa atu koutou katoa.

  • I am a Maori of New Zealand, I was brought up Maori (yes, you can be brought up Maori by which I mean choosing to live with as much Maori values, influences, education, and so on as possible). I am a fluent Maori speaker studying for a BA double majoring in Maori and its customs and eventually I wish to complete my masters and possibly doctorate. So if we are going to play the 'whose opinion is most legit' then for the Maori people I think my creds are pretty good.

  • What was that argument about qualifications, education, money and patriotism (Aussie vs. NZ vs. Japan vs. Islanders). When did Islanders come in to this? and whats cars and money got to do with anything?

  • cannot find rhytm

  • I haven't even thought of Namie Amuro until I was watching Inu-yasha. Turns out she is still on top over in Japan. And she could pass for a sexier version of Elektra.

  • Looks like strength of a woman

  • SERIOUSLY?

  • Meh, cool ad. It looks like the Ka Mate but obviously they crapped out the words so no one can really make any claims to it.

No trademark or whatever cept for Coca Cola.

  • Im so inlove with this girl or should i say woman.. She's 32 but still.. looks like a teen. Im a lesbian but damn I love you!! So much!! Aishiteru namie!!

  • auahuha, adorei. Coca Cora Zero.

  • COOL!!

  • awesome!!!

  • This commercial is awesome!!! I wish they showed Japanese commercials in P.R.

  • @com51 yeah!! you saw it too?? i just saw another one just today.,.,!! i can't take my eyes off the tv just to wait for her commercial!! haha :)

  • @yaniks95 well, it's a fresh start for the JPOP here in the Philippines, since namie is the queen of J-pop, i know it will be a good start for the J-Pop, but i hope coca-cola zero will expose her more by exposing her commercial regularly, i've seen her commercial rarely on TV. even though it's wild and full of energy commercial.

  • @corn51 i saw her commercial yesterday three times.,.,and yeah you're right, this may be a fresh start for jpop in the philippines.,.

  • man i just saw namie amuro on philippine tv with her coca-cola commercial.,.<! first time!! i love her.,!

  • @yaniks95 yeah!! it looks like JPOP is going to dominate the philippines once again.. ♥♥♥

  • @corn51 yeeppee! yeah! i hope! i think this is it! wheeetwheeeet! you saw it too?? I Hope Utada, BoA, and Ayumi is going to dominate too.,.,!!

  • @yaniks95 Boa is korean but popular in japan and Ayumi and Utada is gonna dominate the kimchi out of Kpop when they hit RP. lmfao!

  • @corn51 yup, many jpop songs became popular in the 1990s in the philippines.

  • mamones porque no pasa eso en mexico asi si compro coca

  • hahaha..i love how she shook the bottle at the end

  • is break it a new single? why is nothing from break it to find?

  • Queen Namie!

  • Wild health!?

  • BTW its not even a Haka lol with all respects towards the beautiful culture

  • Its great to have Haka spread across the boarder world widely. Shouldn't it not matter if the interpretation is a bit different. Shouldnt it not matter if someone was informed or not. Japanese culture is made fun out of all the time on TV. I can take my culture being joked as long as it doesnt have extreme disrespect. Trademark issue? Personally, I don't think Haka belongs to just the iwi or a tribe. Its for all Kiwis and all fans with total respect towards Maori and Haka.

  • Comment removed

  • i learn advertising and broadcasting so i know it. don't made such stupid statement. and one more think.. they don't joke around you culture, for me it look representative and WOW, they feat with namie amuro. i only know namie but i dont even know that HAKA boys exists. so is not that good.. people like me now know your culture. and one more things actually these haka boys who sign in..or are they sign in without read the contract before join these CM? i bet they know it.

  • Comment removed

  • if they just sign the contract and don't know what the CM is all about.. and never thought the CM will be like this.? huh i bet its kinda funny.. and unprofessional. after the CM done.. they will be first to knew it. . it will broadcast until these two artist agreed with it. don't you get it.. these HAka boys are foreign.. so they will be pay in high note.. so why did you felt so mess up for?.

  • fuk bro, lets get this straight, im a maori...maori 2 the core. not like we dont diss the fuk out of asians and their heratage. get over it, i bet they felt the same about the "spray and walk away" guy. i dont see what the big deal is ay???

  • disgraceful and disrespectful to the iwi

  • That was one cool ad! =D

  • What revelance does the "haka" have with Coke Zero? O_O

  • how interesting....

    namie amuro is hot :)

  • Well... I was planning to comment with 'neat ad, nice use fo the haka...'

But now that I've read the comments.... wow, this vid clip has been watched by a group of morons. Racist, foul mouthed bigots. The lot of you: graduate from high school before you start mouthing off about NZ's welfare system, and all that shit about Maori.

  • Do you have any idea of the implications of what you're saying? Here's an idea for you: finish high school, get a university education, get a real job, and then we'll talk about murder, rape and the welfare system in NZ, okay?

  • lmao you talking to me,im 22, i got a bbis from massey 2005-07, worked at geac in auckland cbd and vodafone, now at dubai internet city, i own a nissan gtr and a audi rs4 as seen in my profile vids, i got a high paying job and a excellent life, i think im better off than you! when i was in nz it was a fact, that majority of rape murder were done by islanders, mate told me 15 islanders attack an unarmed cop few days ago! most of the crime in auckland is in the south, u cant hide the truth!

  • fuck me you own a gtr and a rs4, whoa i just saw them, dude slow down lol, oh wait you can drive that fast there. haha i bet jacey925 owns a gaybura and gaytezza, those shitty cars in nz haha!

  • gd ad that is promoting new zealand to the japs and coca cola at the same time. whats wrong in that? no doubt some iwi wants cash as some great Maori one day did it and they want cash. shame shame shame on the Maori's for constantly wanting hand outs and not focussing on educating their iwi to make their own fair cash

  • um... yeah, because it's only maori people who want handouts huh? dude, take a look around you. Half the freaking people on the benefit are white.

  • you will notice how i say things like great Maori...meaning that their history is great their current like everyone else is dubious. and the hand outs i was refering to were for things like the ad...All Blacks do the haka...countries love it and it promotes Maori culture abroad...what happens? they want money to do it when infact it promotes more than just a pay out it gets ppl int in NZ

  • rape?? maoris, when i was at nz,most of the rape was done by islanders.

  • wow, have you actually spent anytime IN new zealand?

Stop insulting other peoples countries, before we start unsulting yours.

  • lmao unsulting???you think you may know English, but can you pass a level 3 Ncea English exam?? i spent 20 years in Auckland,so i have an idea of what life was like, like it or not, islanders produce the most crime there, we knew islanders, who sell p, do house invasions, car jackings, rape white girls, attack eldery etc just for kicks, most of them are in jail, check the news!

A friend's sister was rape near the bp service station in 2008 , and guess what the guy was an islander!

  • Um, yeah... I'm not sure what use of English has to do with this, but yes, I could pass a level 3 English exam. English lecturer at a University... so I have a pretty good shot. You however? Ignorant and racist. You're white? More white people commit crimes of hate, fraud and racial descrimination.

  • Im not white, far from being white, tbh i dont even like white people, esp english!

but i see your Maori, i respect Maoris, you have a proud culture, its sad how the nzgovt and white nz people respect islanders more than the Maori, if you look at my 1st post, i asked nzsodomy why he labeled maori's as rapists, when i was in auckland, most of the rape was done by islanders

Hence the example of my friend's sister near the bp service station, i don't have anything against Maori people ok never did

  • Your a dumbass racist, thats why people in this world aint getting along. And dark skinned people will always end up worse up for it

  • Nzrfu should be worried about the shit 2011 rwc their about to give the world, only wellington and chch have ok stadiums, eden park is utter shit, transport system in auckland and wellington is a joke! but their worried about this ad. LMAO

remember the 95,99,03 and 07 and fantastic grounds for the final, and 2011 is gonna be at a dog stadium with temp stands LMAO!

  • mate, no one cares.

you see the stadium for about 5 seconds. tv viewers are interested in the game. not the stadium.

  • haha i saw that north harbour stadium match, it was empty coz fans couldn't get in, wellington also had train problems, imagine you buying those 400 dollar tickets and not able to see the whole match thanks to nz's awesome transport, don't worry go whinge to the takeaways and eat some fush and chups LMAO

  • Eden Park in the process of a major upgrade, and the Auckland transport system has been imporoved greatly. Let me guess... you're a south islander. You know, we don't bitch about you lot nearly as much as you bitch about us. It's getting rediculous really. Insecurity, I say.

  • not from south island or nz you dumb bitch, from australia, who brought the world the best olympics, best commonwealth games and the best rugby world cup,and now 1.6million of you turds, i keep asking the fucken kiwis GO HOME!!!

don't you idiots remember 2003, your stadiums weren't clean enough haha, eden park is a dog, how can you compare eden shit to, the stadiums the other world cups had, thats why aus voted for japan, plus you kiwis wont be at the ground coz your transport sucks

  • Wow, yeah... all you'd actually have to say was 'dumb bitch', because that'd label you as an Aussie.

You know what? I actually LIKE Australia. I have friends there, I've traveled there.... I'm NICE to Australians. But you my friend? You're what Kiwi's hate about your country.

  • @kalusuddha Who are you loser! gosh settle down!

  • The All Blacks have CocaCola sponsorship so I am not sure how much of a fuss they will make about this.

  • LMAO .. just more dramas that are going to unfold at the event of this.

But YAY .. 'All Blacks' on Japan TV! Being recognised!! :P

  • Comment removed

  • it's a homage, not disrespectful at all - the Japanese are nuts about Maori culture - and the ad looks great - pity about the coca-cola association tho

  • Considering the All Blacks so out to big money in the first place, who gives a crap. I am a kiwi, played Rugby since I was 5, love the game...BUT..the commercialism that has crept in, keep it.

As for the so called " ALL BLACKS" in this ad, there aren't any nor are there any trademarks shown or breached, as for the Haka, it will take an army of lawyers to decipher this and what the hell for, A Maori Haka Group performing something that by bloodline is their right..so over this shit!!!

  • @mav3r1ck69 ......tumbling down, tumbling down, tttuuuummmmmbbbblllinnnng dddooowwwn! :(

  • @genxxxersize Alright babe, what's the matter, are you lonely again?

  • im from NZ and i love this ad,the maoris are just lame they think they own everything, don't pull the ad stand your ground japanese coca-cola....P.S u can't own a dance what are u 5

  • @Todday. Its' the NZRU worried about this ad, not Maori. Also, if a man can own the rights to the line "Let's get ready to rumble" then why can't a haka be copyrighted.

  • Because it is a completely different Haka. You can't copyright doing a haka only haka you create. Kamate is well outside the copyright period anyway.

  • Because it;s history. It's a tribal dance, that had nothing to do with freaking rugby games until the NZRU decided that they wanted in on it. You can't copyright heritage.

  • @Todday I am Maori I aint lame I like this ad ---- it should have just been that the Japanese consult with appropriate people first before going ahead and making this.... dont forget I Like it..... its just like any other process... no need to be racist about it man lol

  • @Todday Own everything like what? The Nga Puhi Iwi does own the Haka. And people just cant freely use it without paying to advertise it.

You do know how advertisement works right?

  • BTW, if you want to see the haka come up against 'stiff' opposition, look on YouTube for the Lawson's Scotch commercial.

  • She rocks those boots. What else matters?

  • The men appear to be performing part of the new Haka which the All Blacks are switching with the 'Ka Mate' haka. Recognise it from the similarity what I have seen the All Blacks perform.

In New Zealand anyone wishing to use the Haka must have authorisation from the Maori, even the All Blacks have needed authorisation to use it. The new Haka took many hours and expertise to choreograph before it was finalised for use by the team.

  • ....i see this more as a "dance off" ~`young trend v. tradition? a lot of you are reading too much into this...

btw @erii, the men performing the HAKA dance are the "all blacks" the national NZ rugby team...i'm pretty sure they won't agree into doing this if it is representing their nation inappropriately

btw, for those who are ignorant about namie (the leading girl), she's massive in japan, a big trend setter, famous for her dancing and singing skills, i don't think she's doing haka at all!

  • those guys aren't the "all blacks" at all. they were made to look like the all blacks which, imo, was not a good move on coca cola japan's part. as i said down below, they're a haka troupe based in japan.

  • @spliffanie Hate to break it to you but these guys are not the All Blacks. If you knew your rugby you would spot that none of these lads make up a single member of the team.

  • at least amuro namie looks hot!

  • this is the crappiest cola ad yet... the agency proposing (and getting away with) this really ripped them.

Maori are right to be pissed

  • Well, maybe if you people who are criticizing tried to rub a braincell or two together, you might understand the commercial.addin But you're too busy - by your own statements - ripping each other off with insults. The women are performing the Haka that has been performed traditionally by women, but with modifications by adding male actions. New versus old. The dance has routes inn many others and it's certainly changing. I'm sure if she did it in a swimsuit, all of you would love it.

  • There is no way in h*ll the women are doing a Haka. Are you even a kiwi?

  • Actually, the women are doing a really crap rip-off of a form of Haka performed by women. It is called Ka Panapana. But the choreography of it in this video is so bastardized, it is barely recognizable. No wonder Ngati Toa are pissed.

  • Comment removed

  • What a waste of effort it was to make this advert.

  • Absolute shit...ripping off the Haka to sell teeth rotting coke.

Ngati Toa will be very upset.

  • they aren't doing ngati toa's ka mate like the nz herald incorrectly reported

  • Wild Health! WTF?

  • Haha way to go boys!!!

  • Comment removed

  • Dribble.

The Haka isn't a J-Pop sissy dance. These people have no idea of what it actually means...

  • @WRCfan True, but they don't care. They just want to make money.

  • the guys performing the haka aren't actors. they're an actual troupe in japan that perform the haka around asia. watch the making of.

  • do giv us the meaningpls?
