  • sick game

  • I have been waiting to upstage this tremendous comeback with an even greater comeback in a more meaningful and more difficult league.

2012 NHL94 full rules playoff round 2, semi's. Kingraph and NYR and Icestorm Tor. Down 5-2 with 1:25 remaining Ice scores to cut the lead to 2 on a sweet deke. With :33 remaining Ice cuts it to 1 on a slick backhanded pass shot. With :17 ties it and with :03 wins it on amazing cross crase 1 timer.

    youtube.com/watch?v=YMdEm3w_UYk

  • @IceStormNHL941 Keep waiting! This is not a greater comeback because I was down four goals before starting the comeback with a goal with 2:08 remaining. I was also shorthanded for the last four goals I had to score to win the game in regulation.

But that game-winner of yours was really, really nice. :D

  • OH man that was epic... Nice come-back..... This is the greatest hockey game ever created by the way... AMAZING game....

  • @funkyflights Thanks! Yeah, they really had something special that yeat with NHL '94.

  • @Tickenest how do you score with one guy head toward the goalie? It looks like you almost juked him with the puck, how did you do that? I have this for my sega and the only way to score is to pass it to another person and have them shoot instantly, how did you score with one guy?

  • @tuberofyou1 I'm not sure how to describe it, really. It's just a move that you have to practice. I'm sure you can find some other videos of NHL '94 on YouTube that have examples.

  • Man, I loved the Nordiques. They were an awesome team, sad to see them go all those years ago =(

  • this must be on genesis live..

  • wtf are you playing this on

  • Poor IceStorm lool

  • 94 habs just off winning that cup. You won because the MONTREAL FORUM CAME ALIVE FOR THIS GAME!!!!

  • O.O

  • I got in many fist fights over this game. I don't think we ever played it with the offsides on, it made the game boring.

  • In my eyes, still the best sports game EVER. i spent thousands of hours with my friends on that game.

    thanks for uploading.

  • It looks like NHL 12 even I ever have imagined. Seriosly.

  • nhl 94 owns ahah go habs go

  • Gotta love those '94 Habs. They were always my go-to team in this game.

  • Almost 20 years later and the same glitch goals work. Maybe EA should take a hint hahahaha

  • hahah yes!!! this is why i love NHL games. because of moments like this.,

    GO HABS!! lol

  • haah i remember playing my best friend in madden 05 and he was beating me 31-0 at half. i couldnt even get a first down, make a field goal or return a kickoff without fumbling. then in the 2nd half the same thing happened to him. i beat him 33-31. he was so pissed

  • NHL 94 was awesome! We used to create legendary players like Biff Love and Mudderly Clearance. Smoking weed and playing Sega all night long.

Roenick and Sakic were awesome in this game as were the Penguins.

  • @ixolabrat We did the same things. The creating of players was one of my favorite parts of the game, but I remember it only being in '95 on onward. We had Loose Rubberthigh, Jammer Jagger, Jack Deth, Phil McCrackin, and a list of at least 100 others that don't come to mind right now (its a shame). Too bad I can't do those things anymore; they were some free times.

  • R u montreal or quebec?

  • @DrPepperTheZombie Montreal.

  • @Tickenest go boston lol :3

  • first Id like to say, Truly Great Comeback. Second, its awesome to see all the people debating this and arguing about how it happened (thats how you know this game is worth the attention, one of the best games ever made). regardless of what the settings were and how it went down this was a really great game played by both players (I pictured you going nuts after that last goal [I yelled a bit myself just watching it] and your friend being like "wtf just happened"). NHL 94 will always live on

  • @DJVendetta23 Thanks for the kind words. You wouldn't believe the emotions I went through (and I'm sure my opponent did, too.) I'm getting pounded through two periods and my guys can't do anything right. I get going early in the 3rd but he comes back and then the penalty. Oh well, maybe next time. Except...this was next time! The goal that got me the most excited was the tying goal cuz it was the culmination of a series of threaded pass one-timers. The winner was just stunning. :D

  • One-timers are for bitches. BEE-YOTCH-EZ.

Whoop-dee-doo. You exploited a bitch... I mean "glitch,"... bitch.

  • @Huntington12345678 Thank you for your keen insights. Finally, someone who speaks truth to power.

  • Way to go with the comeback!! Great game. This why I still have it:)

  • i remember bein like 6 or 7 and playing this game with my dad lol...i want another genisis so bad...i miss these types of games.

  • Hfgggytt hhhjkghyyuu

  • god i used played this game for hours on end when i was a little kid. i kicked major ass with my hometown team the chicago blackhawks :D

  • i love how this is now the quality of game, you can find on the internet for free lol

  • @mclovin101ish So did I until I scored the winner!

  • this whos a nice game 94

  • @RetroJunkie2000 He was the Montreal Canadiens

  • It looks like their slipping compared to NHL 11

  • with :14 left, your opponent crosses your blue line with the puck, and instead of dumping it into the corner and around the boards (killing half of those seconds off at the least), he skates to the middle of the ice where the puck is promptly stolen with :11 left. it then takes 8 seconds for you to skate up the ice and score. if he dumps the puck in instead of carrying it in, you lose. great comeback, though.

  • @eddog1977 In that situation, the score was already tied at 7. Therefore, dumping the puck would have caused overtime, most likely. Instead, he was trying frantically to score because 1) he'd just blown a 7-3 lead very late and 2) with so little time left, it was unlikely that if he lost the puck trying to score that I'd be able to do anything before time expired. Unfortunately for him, that turned out not to be the case.

  • First time i see Quebec on a NHL

  • you guys suck at manual goalie.... lol

  • SAKIC! legend

  • Whoa, that's epic... I had the Super NES version and it's so damn good.

On another note, 5 minutes of NHL '94 time is actually more like 3 minutes of real time... making this comeback even more crazy\impressive.

  • is this a joke haha

  • how do u win on this i have the nhl 06 version and i can not score!

  • why are you playing this game? get NHL 11 its betterrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

  • @TheGuyNext2u i played some nhl94 tonight to relive some really old memories, it's so simple and skil lbased i take it over nhl 11 anytime

  • One of the bets games ever!

  • how in the world did you get this on youtube? in decent quality also??

  • Sakic is rigged lol

  • oh my god! :)

  • EPIC! Awesome comeback.

  • SAKIC!!!! WITH THE HATTYY!!

  • lol at 2:01 I though it said Duchene as in Matt Duchene got the assit

  • lol i still remember that Ottawas team ratings were all 2's.

  • roy just save the game at .52

  • that game looks pretty good

  • This game has the most authentic crowd EVER! I mean do you HEAR the boo's!

  • Offsides turned off and most goals happened because your opponent switched to goalie and pulled him out of position.

  • @ak99372 Oh, true, all true. My preference is offsides on, but that wasn't my choice for this game. And sometimes you have to foil your opponent's attempt to foil you. :D

  • @Tickenest still some goals are real nice and fun to watch (thumbs up).

  • @Tickenest OR....you were setting this up for this video.

Sorry...but no one changes hteir goalie "to foil their opponent"

  • @knickknack07 You use different moves to score on a computer-controlled goalkeeper than you do to score on a human-controlled goalkeeper, and those two movesets don't generally overlap. Therefore, you think about which type of keeper you're trying to score on and which move you'll use. By switching up human vs. computer keeper control, you can often confuse your opponent because he has to make a quick decision about what he's going to do.

Doesn't work all the time. :D

  • @ak99372 I'm not disagreeing with you AK that it is certainly less of an accomplishment with Offsides turned off.. but for some reason whenever I played NHL '94 or '95 (for the SNES) my team ALWAYS went offsides before I came over the line with the puck

  • @DaBears5501 Lol I'm a fan of NHL series on PC and believe or not this problem was still present up to like NHL 2008. There was just a time when you pass a puck to a player waiting on the blue line and he just started skating into offside 100% times. Used to drive me nuts! Technically I had to learn when not to pass.

  • Looking back after my comment for a bit more than a year ago, I realized you had some balls in using all your original forwards, since it's the Classic version. Since they can knock down Muller and Bellows in the game, I sub them for Savard and Lebeau.

Crazy comeback. If I had a 3-goal lead with a PP and lose like that in 1m20s, I would really be down in the dumps. Do you still play the Genesis version?

  • this game is still sooo fun but way too easy

  • Great hockey game but too easy, I scored 49 goals in one game but

Im sure someone could score more.

  • where can i play this game i cant find it online

  • @skullBash3r This is not a computer game it is a game off of the genesis

  • Send this to Don Taylor of Sportsnet and re-post it with his overdub!!!

  • that deke you got the game winner with is so beast. works almost every fucking time, i was really surprised to see no goals using the charge down the boards and cut straight across on the hashmarks and go far side. that one works really well too.

the canadiens are my favorite to use in chell 94. although i think i put savard out instead of bellows if he is still in that season. muller destroys though, happy to see that comeback, too bad for burnaby joe.

  • @genuinedillweed Good players are good enough that they can snuff out the goal you describe most of the time. It still happens but it just didn't in this game.

  • Who won the series, David or Goliath? Was this the finals?

  • NHL 94...The lyrics (rare)

Search: nhl 94 the song by AI

  • i want this game over nhl 11 lol

  • in order to activate the manual goalie though i think you have to hold down b until the star appears over your goaltender before you can control him. I didn't see that really in this video.

  • you know I agree with some of the sentiment here that Tickenest isn't that good at this game and his opponent was a lot more talented but still, this is an amazing and dramatic comeback and should be posted on youtube just the same. This is a david over goliath story right here, I wish I could see the video of these 2 guys reactions as they played this game, now that would be something.

  • @billny33 Well, I don't agree with ANY of the sentiment that Tickenest isn't that good at this game, but I might be a little biased in my opinion. On the other hand, I agree with everything else you've said except that I'd characterize myself as the Goliath in this story who struggles to take down David before making things right in dramatic fashion. Again, kinda biased. Also, I was stunned at what I'd done and so was my opponent.

  • @Tickenest well maybe there's more than one strategy of being successful in this game that i was not aware of. Now that I think of it, neither of you were employing that strategy in this game. I always just skate across the front of the goal mouth and shoot after I pass the goalie and he's too slow to cover the far post. Works almost every time (maybe you guys think that's too cheap?). I see you like a lot of one timers which I felt were unreliable but worked for you here.

  • @Tickenest Really dude? You're Goliath? Having trouble validating that. I think if you look at my league history in GDL, Blitz and Classic you'll find I'm the better player. We played twice in classic, splitting the games, in those two, you were a better player for exactly 1min and 33 seconds :)

  • @Tickenest This type of comeback actually occured yesterday in Blitz 94 weight fixed league. AJ came back from a 7-3 deficit with 2:29 to go to win 8-7. But your comeback is still more impressive, as AJ was the favorite in his game :) 0

  • @theDerves Right, cuz I wasn't the favorite in this one. Uh huh, got it. He also scored on a penalty shot in his. AND I scored four goals in the last 69 seconds to win.

  • @billny33 It was played with manual goaltenders, and so the defending player has a chance to stop the shot. It's also something that people usually watch for so it's not the easiest play to pull off. Against the CPU, of course, it works great, but humans have a few more options.

  • @856744 Sorry but I have time to waste taping my '94 games. When I'm playing I'm too busy kicking the shit out of wannabe players like you... None of those goals took any skill, and anyone who understands '94 can see that.

  • hahaha 8 goals on 11 shots, 4 shorthanded goals.... nice comeback :D

  • Many hours on the Sega Genesis.

  • i was born in 1994

  • greaaaat comeback. love nhl '94 highlights

  • i love the old hockey games :D they are waay better than the new ones!

  • the game is epic !!

  • This game would have been epic if it happend for real. Move the Thrashers to Quebec City!

  • Holy shit what a comeback!

  • insane graphics

  • that goal at 1:14 was sick

  • hahahaha whatttt a gameeeeeee.

it was fucking exciting as fuck.

nice deke on sakics 3rd lol.

  • I just have to say, I'm a Bruins fan but that was an amazing comeback with the Habs. Nice job man.

  • 1:37 I like the goalie interference.

  • lollll wow

  • can you download this game for pc?

    if so where?

  • i remember playing this all the time. They sure have come a long way since this epic game! NHL 11 looks awesome!

  • 0:32 Sakic was offside! Pshhh!!!!

  • @vspecialist soooo offside!!

  • Best video game of all time. Bar none. Man, I had fun with this one.

  • @peregrin666

hahaha cuz u suck at the new ones and you cant score.

    sorry no more 1 timers.

  • Great comeback.

  • You are lucky the dude with the Deeks didn't know how to defend for this, cause you suck.

  • @robertorolfo Sir, your comment has made me weep.

  • @Tickenest Aw, no need to cry. Plenty of people think they are good at '94 but actually suck. You are not alone. There should be some comfort in knowing that, right?

  • @robertorolfo The weeping continues uncontrollably. But am I weeping for myself.......or for you? It's a mystery, I'll agree, but if you examine the clues and piece it all together, you'll figure it out.

  • @robertorolfo What kind of a monster are you?

  • Joooooooeeee SAkIC! 4 Goals!

  • Awesome, i was once down 4-0 in the 2nd period, det = me & LA =comp, score the goals in the 3rd 2 tie the game & the game winner in OT, 5-4!!

  • @Rusty2FTW Cool. Just bear in mind that this game was against a human opponent.

  • @Tickenest i realized that lol

  • god bless the one timer in this game.

  • Goalies where way too easy to score on in this game

    from what i remember

  • nice! atta boy

  • ...nice

  • wow....

  • Joe Sakic owned your ass

  • buulshit

  • Kirk Muller had a good night...

  • WWOOOW!!

  • So i'm going to be "that guy". How did you record this?

  • @OMGitsDaniel777 Google for "GENS: How To Make Game Movies (avi)" (with quotation marks) and the first hit will have a good guide to what I've done.

  • @Tickenest Thank you kind sir

  • Ah Québec-Montréal ... c'était le bon temps!

  • dude i played a buddy in this game where i was montreal in a seven game series. He could be any team.. and then any other team.. and then any other.. until he used them all up. Including the all star teams. I never lost... in fact no series went more than 6 games.

Muller, Damphousse, Schneider, Bellows, Desjardins = greatest team ever assembled

  • did the characters have individual stats in the older games? I have this game I just forget.

  • @TheSoftMachineisaMan Yes, every player had his own individual attributes.

  • Put Lebeau and Savard in the game next time. It will help out that otherwise anemic defense on the forward line. You should be crushing Quebec and their lack of speed.

  • @marcusmaximus07596 I think I subsequently learned to use them in my lineup. Good tip.

  • This game has brodie written all over it.

  • Defense Motherf***er. Do you play it?

  • This game is classic...the idea of showing highlights of other games during the intermission is genious... they should include that in the newer games as well

  • Holy Shit! Epic Comeback! I was playing this yesterday and came back from a 4-0 score after the first period to win in overtime but that was nothing compared to this! NHL 94 FUCKING RULES!!!!

  • Wow, this game is seriously 16 years old. I can't get over that, I remember it like it was yesterday. I played more NHL 95, but either way, ancient.

  • Make a big deal about it? Am I the one posting VIDEOS OF THE FRIGGIN GAME, MORON? I need to get a life? How stupid are you?

I haven't played the game in 15 years, but I happen to think it's the best ever.

Do people stop and think about how stupid they sound before they make a post like d1ckfood1993? Gee, you're telling someone to get a life while posting about a video posted by someone of a VIDEO GAME FROM 15 YEARS AGO..do they teach kids about irony in high school now?

  • @hjackhammer2 I was with you until the part where you went completely off the deep end and kinda undermined your own point.

  • wow way to go that's so nasty, and shut the hell up man it's a game you're honestly going to make it a big deal about NHL 94? If so, then get a life hjackhammer2

  • 1) you guys both suck with the goalie control..fell for the infamous deke move way too many times

    2) playing without offsides? Weak.

  • @hjackhammer2 Offsides wasn't my choice. It's just what every league insists on. As far as keeper control, ok, I suppose. Doesn't mean it wasn't exciting!

  • looked like whoever you were playing against wasn't exactly playing against you

  • He sure as hell was when he built up those 5-1 and 7-3 leads!

  • 2:10 bellows, you pussy!

  • Why is the ice blue?

  • haha awesome man!!!

  • amazing! this was my fave game and at the min nhl 10 is lol oh my god its advanced so much!

  • the only way the comeback happened

    no offside\s

  • Yes, but I probably wouldn't have fallen so far behind, either!

  • lol i would never play this game again if it happened to me

  • was that real?

  • Absolutely.

  • I remember when that game came out and saying. "This game is so realistic, how can it get any better"

Well, i guess it is what you are used to. For the time that game was great and a massive upgrade from NHL 93

  • It still hasnt got any better! And for the record I always owed your ass tickenest!

  • this game was the shit!

  • Wow. I would have hit the reset button a long time ago. I was wondering if you were going to be able to pull this one off.

  • Yeah, but note that I was playing against someone else (starred players on both teams.) He wouldn't have liked it too much if I'd just given up!

  • I played that game so much!

  • Super Joe!!

  • Best hockey game ever made, I have a 360 but I still play my genesis lol.

  • @Twak22 I have a 360 and I play on Genesis emulator:). All old NHL games are incredible, I pick NHL 94 as my favourite.

  • Very cool, and MTL isn't even one of the stronger teams offensively...

  • greatest hockey game ever made

  • haha when i played this game with my dad when i was little i would only check so much fun

  • ...and that's why the Quebec Nordiques ALWAYS sucked ass...

  • soooo... they didn't have offside in '94?

  • This particular competition was played with offsides off. I prefer it on, but I seem to be in the minority.

  • @Tickenest IMO it's pointless to play NHL 93-98 with offsides on. The skaters are really quick and therefore they ruin almost every shift with an offside:). But I play NHL 2002-09 with offsides on.

  • I disagree. I can see why you'd say that, in light of the fact that the forwards don't really consider whether they're going to beat your puck holder over the line, but the trick is simply to pass the puck up to the lead man.

It can be a pain sometimes, true. I do prefer it, though.
