Of course the Wii's control is better, it's much more recent. I believe this feature in Virtua tennis was just thrown in by the team for the fun of it. If it was a serious attempt at something new they would have told people about it, but it's just an easter egg.

Crazy Taxi with a fishing pole controller?! ROFL!!! There actually was a similar video awhile back of someone with a motion sensing + rumble controller similar to the PS3 controller they're releasing, but it came out in 1996, so yeah. History repeats itself. =)

From what I've read, you try to make it seem like the reel doesn't do anything.

Not saying it's a fake just yet, though wouldn't it make more sense to try to prove it's the 'motion sensing' by using some masking tape on the reel to the controller to stop it from spamming around whenever you flick the thing?

The Wiimote act differently if you swing from right or left or up or by twisting the wiimote while smashing. Try this with the fishing rod. Swinging the fishing Rod is equivalent to press a button. The fishing rod is equivalent to the NES Power Glove.

This is SOOOOOOOOOOOO fake, everytime he presses the button, and then he just moves the fishing rod. The movement of the fishing rod does nothing at all in VT1 and VT2. This is fake, but very funny nonetheless. The fact that you state NOT FAKE, is inexcusable. I would love to be proven wrong though!

As for Nintendo? No, I don't hate them at all. I own a Wii and GBA SP, and have bought all heir Game Boy's prior as well as the Gamecube. The "Old hat" comments are just a joke anyway =P

No one said it was. It did a hell of a lot for what little time it was around, and there are many, many reasons why no matter how hard they tried it didn't have a chance. It's still my favorite console, though, and I don't really care if other think over wise: it's the system I've had the most enjoyment out of and that's all that matters.
