  • Where is the SNL performance???

  • I remembered this song from 1997ish and took a while to find it again, search by lyrics. Loved it then, love it now. Never saw the video until yesterday 11/24/10. Louise Post would make a killer vampire. :)

  • bruenette is looking hot as fuck in this video

  • "you monkey, you left me"...aimed at grohl?

  • tell me WTF you gonna do about it big shot, Im really curious to know bitch?

  • nice comments on Bradain's channel. You really shouldn't fuck with Satanists, you know!

I don't appreciate your lack of respect for those who follow the Left Hand Path. if I see you trolling Bradain's channel again, you will pay dearly. Consider yourself warned, fool.

    Ave Satanas!

  • wow! what memories! come back girls! please!!

  • Are these girls the best thing since Ann and Nancy or what?!

  • I don't know who the fuck they are. You're ignorant.

  • one of my favourite veruca salt songs... in one of my favourite albums

  • I am awed by their power

  • I was in high school when this came out and I still have this along side with the rest of their songs in my mp.

  • Te amo louise!

  • los 90's son sënsacionales como ësta banda!!

  • The drummer's hot.

  • although I was 11 at the time, they were the ones responsible for me learning how to play the guitar... I love them. and miss the "underground sound" of the 90's.

  • The 8 Arms album is near perfection from play to end. Earthcrosser FTW. I pray sometimes for them to become Veruca again. "Don't Care How I want it NOW!!!!!"

  • my friend got me into this band by playing some of their stuff recently. i remembered kinda liking them in those heady '90s alt-rock days but not being all that interested; now, 10+ years later, i can see that they were pretty great: they sort of sum-up a lot of what was good about pop-rock in the '90s .

  • mmmm song rocks

  • i want the dresses they are in xD they look so much fun and this song reminds me of 8th grade and learning what shimmy means xD

  • Every time I see this video I always wonder how those spring cocoons actually worked.

  • This is wonderful. What a creative vision and what a bunch of work! Nancy Bardawil and crew deserve major major accolades for this one (AND Volcano Girls).

  • My favourite Veruca Salt song!

  • Stacy Jones from American HiFi on drums. He also played in Juliana Hatfield's band before AHF.

  • Stacy also played in Nina's poo na nee!

  • darn... Veruca Salt to American HiFi ..... talk about disapointment

  • That brunette girl is an 8 on my erectometer

  • I give her bonus points too cuz she's in a fucking awesome band.

  • That would be Louise Post buddy.! The blond is Nina Gordon.

  • My bad! I always forget who I am having sex with. Always confused my ex-wife and her sister's name.

  • Nina Gordon is her name. The blonde is Louise Post.

  • The other way around. The blond is Nina. The brunette is Louise.

  • amo esos corsets!!

  • Is the drummer the Guy who p;lays on American hi-fi now?

  • awesome, just pure awesome.

  • its cool being related to louise

  • no it isn't. you are just a failure by comparison.

    time to kill yourself.

  • or maybe i mean nina....i could never tell them apart.....lol.....either way this song kicks fucking ass.

  • this song is awesome....wish louise never dyed her hair blond....

  • they were way ahead of their time

  • I was wondering why they weren't more famous but "they were way ahead of their time" sums it up perfectly!

  • Oh they where pretty famous , dont worry about that. I dont know about the US, but they had a few #1's here in australia if I remember correctly.

  • They topped the charts for a second here in ADD USA, too. Not long enough, IMO.

  • The most awesome song from one of the most underrated bands of the 90s.

  • i luv tthis song. :)

  • I wanna suck Nina's you know what...!

  • i think most people watching this video want to too!

  • I heart 90's alternative rock.

  • I am so glad this is finally on here!

I have been looking for the name of this song forever, now I can go buy this!

How can such beauty rock so f-ing hard!!!!

  • :30 LOVE LOVE LOVE!

  • man all i know of louise post is she makes awesome music, shes cool in interviews and shes seriously the hottest girl ive ever seen. Its not fair i get distracted from the music when i see veruca salt videos = X

  • They only did one song on SNL because Sting was the host. He got a song in the end. Lame.

  • This is such an awesome video. Definitely their coolest. This is without a doubt the best grunge band out there... completely underrated.

  • Video of the SNL is on Tarotney just google "veruca salt+snl"

  • thanks

just found it and rewatched it. still equal parts kickass and sexy after all these years.

They really were an underrated live act

  • Man this is such an underrated song, and the SNL performance is pure class, hope they come back together!

  • I just saw the SNL version and I was seriously getting chills watching it! That should have been on those 2 live SNL cds that came out a couple of years ago. The only thing I dont care for is the guitar solo.. the tone at about the second note sounds off.. shame. Best part of this song is 0:42 - 0:57

  • Can I get a link?

  • google ... veruca salt +snl

    its the first link

  • @ColorsBright Man, that SNL performance was AWESOME!!!! And in addition, Louise was tottaly hot in that light blue outfit!!!!

  • @ColorsBright I liked that off-note :D

  • Does anyone have a copy of the girls performing this on Saturday Night Live??? That was the best live version EVer.

  • This song ROCKS!!

  • They did a great version of this on SNL.

  • Yes they did. The SNL version absolutely was SMOKING!

  • And Louise wore that kick ass outfit!

I can't remember what the other song they played was, though I'm guessing it was Volcano Girls.

  • Yup. I made sure I watched that video everyday just to see those outfits!

  • They actually did Shuttebug. I was aggreeing to the kick-ass outfit!

  • i love this song! it's such a cool tim-burtonesque vido. i kove the neo=victorian look for them==and they kept thier own sound (you monkey). it had to be fun as hell to ride that dress spring thing.

  • better sound pleeeease!

  • I saw them perform this on some talk show back in 97 or 98. It blew me away.

  • love this song. :)

  • They did this on SNL and totally killed, it's WAY better than the studio version... Too bad NBC are total bastards about posting clips here, but can anyone give it a try? That douche Sting was the host that night, if anyone can find it... VS on SNL was amazing!!!

  • Paulie88 - was just thinking the same thing. The SNL version was heavy duty. Kicked my ass.

  • I too love the SNL version. I have that on VHS somewhere. I remember the sex appeal that was radiating from that stage!

  • The Shutterbug SNL performance was on youtube for years :( I'm so bummed that it's gone now.

  • i love this song. u monkey u left me. lol :)

  • could someone put a better version up? this one sounds horrible

  • Comment removed

  • You could go to school and learn the difference between "there," "they're," and "their." People would take you seriously, then.

  • miss these two!

  • hmm the past is the past..

  • That's the lead singer of "American Hi-Fi" playing drums on this song.

  • louise and nina look amazing here,

but the guys look pretty sexy too.

    =D

  • is Nina Gordon related to Kim Gordon?

  • i dont believe so... =/

    would be cool tho eh?

  • oh i love this song

  • Louise is possibly the hottest lady of nineties alterno-rock. I saw V.S. open for Bush in '97 (I think) they rocked-ass. We were three guys in the second row, the place was full of screaming girls there to see Gavin Rossdale and Louise told us we Rocked! *sigh* Memories.

  • or nina... but i agree

  • very good song. i love louise and nina!

  • One of my favourites.

  • Such an innovative video. This may be a reach but the people or person that directed this im sure they did a few Marlyn Manson vids too

  • ah...steampunk heaven...I miss Veruca salt...

  • me too.

  • Good times when Nina Gordon and Loise Post played together!
