However, as you said both of them are maturing and growing into the people that they should be - Jessica is becoming more a Vampire in the later seasons than she has ever been and is growing more accustomed to her nature and the ways in which Vampires act differently from humans, while Jason is slowly getting to the stage where he should be with a steady woman. Although Jason has previously been a bit of a sex maniac, he is growing past that stage.
