Who said anything about invasion and destruction...? If you're referring to the 2008 events then you are mistaken. You should dig deeper than the slogans offered by the mass-media. If you study the history between china and Tibet up to date, you'll find that you don't have the full story. China's silence is too often mistaken as admission of guilt but it does not give you the right to throw out accusations and make false judgements.

Im talking about the 1950 invasion, when the chinese army under orders from Mao invaded Tibet.

The fact that Tibet been sort of thrown a bit between empires the past 300 years does not mean that China can "liberate" them. And nothing justifes the Chinese goverment watering out both their culture and the people by force.

Are you for real... Just because Hitler tried to remake the world in his own image doesn't mean that Germany/Germans want to do the same. The actions of Mao does not now nor will they ever relate to the present actions of the Chinese Government. IF anything, after Mao, they want Tibet to keep their culture. They're not trying to 'liberate' them either. If Tibet was to stand on its own feet, then it won't stand for long. It simply does not have the economical power to do so.
