  • Random Stranger for President! lol

  • damn you ruined my comment with that last bit, I was about to say "did you notice the video bombing at 2:43" - some people will do anything to appear on YT! ;-)

  • Holy mother of God, please tell me that Michael somehow managed to edit that pic of you to make it look like that, LOL.

Looked like a fun ride. Twas a fitting tribute to those long forgotten train vloggers of yore. Dem guys were pros. I'll bet they didn't even need signs to tell them the trees were big! And just think how hard vlogging was before they invented talkies. Just doing the subtitles or holding up signs alone would have wore me out:)

  • Big trees and random strangers - this is what great vlogs are all about!!

  • Looked like a pretty nice ride. Chillin' with other YouTubers is always fun, hope you had a great visit.

  • The iphone pick made you look like a shopping mall security gaurd....lol

  • Trains are fun! So are good travelling companions...

  • Wow you are with Michael and Van with a Train

  • OMG, I loved this video!! Soooooo cool! I loved the looks you guys were getting from some of the other passengetrs!! Too funny!! Good job on this Curt!! Nice to see Van and Michael with you!! :)))

  • I imagine people had to p(aper)-log at one time with the aid of the pony express. Before that it was r(ock) logging with various messages in caves. Can't forget the s(moke) logging.

  • Too bad You Tube doesn't have smell-o-vision, that was lacking in this video. Random stranger was my favorite.

  • Gotta love those trains! This looks like more fun than a ride on Amtrak though...

  • The random stranger was the best! The way he was looking I would have thought that he was with your group.

  • sweet jeebus, that was a great cast! Wasn't much of a stretch for the train though ;)

PS Jason's music = perfect soundtrack!

  • Great video, hope you all have lots of fun.

  • Five stars for the sign maker and the random stranger. I love the way you put your vlogs together, it's like going on a little adventure. Cheers!

  • 2:12, Holy Moses, where'd she pull that thing out of?!?

2:44, Peep the silent face-maker over your right shoulder. He's like the Marcel Marceau of heckling.

We have something like this back home in NJ, at a place called Allaire State Park. It's set up like a village around the birth of the industrial revolution, complete with "townsfolk". There are blacksmiths and bakers and a really old train that takes you around the park. It's also set in the woods, but your woods are prettier than ours.

  • I would be totally jealous if I didnt already know how cool it is to hang out with other youtubers:-) I think I love random stranger!

  • looks like fun

  • wow big trees... i likes em big *snicker snort*

  • The Random Stranger looked a lot like Michael's iPhone warped photo of you. Perhaps you're related.

  • How cool that you all are hanging out together...LOVE IT!!! How fun!!!!

  • Video attached :) (Soon as its approved)

  • LMAO Random douche bag actually made me laugh so thank you stranger :)

I am attaching a similar video to this, actually is on Brandon's channel so I will make him attach it ... Oh well.... we have a great train ride and huge trees too, is that incentive enough?? lol no pressure!!!!!

PS: Damn Van, I'm sooooooo jealous of your huge lense!!!

  • hahaha i didnt realize that random stranger was making "idiot face" cause he thought he was being funny mugging for your cam... total dillweed.

highlight for me was the part where your feet get on the train... riveting stuff!

  • What a cool and fun video, Curt.

  • OMG I LOVE DOLLY WOOD ! JABBA THE HUNT ! only in california I supose

  • michael is mean

  • whats up w the haircut? im scurred

  • I miss trains like that!

  • random stranger made me giggle!

  • Hello,Curt.

Interesting reconnection with your trainvlogging Ancestors. Any idea of the wheel arrangement of the steam engine?

  • I'm lacking in tech savvy.. how'd he distort the face?

    choo!!choo!!

  • :-)

(For lack of a better, more intelligent comment!)

  • Ya look good with your head buzzed,,,very nice.

  • Like the sublime feel of a well tailored suit, is there anything in the world more fitting than the three of you visiting Roaring Camp Railroads? I mean, c'mon!!!

NB: I have never felt a well tailored suit. Hell, I haven't even felt a crap tailored suit.

  • Van and michael and a train. That is something that will never happen again. now kept for all time.

  • Yay for trainvlogging! (This comment would have been longer, but I deleted all the really bad train puns. Trust me, you're grateful.)

  • I think the last time I was on a train was over a decade ago, can we get teleportation already, all this walking and waiting in line is not for me.

  • Mikma was here.

  • Aww nuts ! I thought you three were gonna hop on a boxcar and rough it for awhile. Still..it looked like fun. :-) hugs, Chris

  • I love how they made it a totally soot-free ride :oD

And that young woman at 1:22 watching as you boared...funny :)

    The guy at 2:45, hahaha!

It would have been nice, though I'm a fan of everyone-faces-forward-seating so as to reduce awkwardness.

  • I was wondering if you knew that person!

  • You made me laugh out loud with that one!

Now I know it for a fact—people think we're weird for talking and videoing and walking. REALLY WEIRD! Sigh. I'll never record in public again.

  • That looks fun!

  • Thanks for the train ride I have a place like that near where I live.I would go to it and make a video but a few years back dolly parton(sp) bought it and it costs way more than its worth to go.I have a name for the douche behind you that an old stoner friend of mine used on ppl like that the eord "facelly".

  • Beautiful tall trees, really like how you can sit outside during the ride. When my sister came for a visit us from Argentina we took her to Lancaster, PA and we rode the Strasburg RR steam train; there you can see many Amish farms during the trip. It was fun :)

  • Now, THAT'S ENTERTRAINMENT! What a coincidence, I'm featureing mickmusing in my next video as the channel of the week. Micheal seems very different from his 'character' he does on camera. Is he always so reserved in public?

So was this taken near Sana Barbara? California....*sigh*

  • I liked the random stranger!

    Your editing skills are pimpin'!

  • Hahahahahahaha! That guy was way more funny in motion! He was totally tryin to be a smart ass! Well, and get a piece of ear too if he could ;-)

That looked like a fun time!

  • I love that train ride, isn't it beautiful? Sometimes it's not very crowded, that's the best...

  • "Random Stranger on A Train" was Hitchcock's original title... Why do I look so stoned in this video? I feel compelled to assure you that I wasn't on anything but a train that day.

  • LOVED IT....I DID......Do more videos on trains....Stage coaches...horseback....ship/boat.....You get the idea.......All for my enjoyment, of course!!!!!!!

  • Love the sight seeing in your new neck of the woods. Laughing at nbwulf's comment! Can you imagine if we started doing what we are thinking hahahaa

    Like comments aren't crazy enough! ; P

  • I can't wait for your next chapter in old-timey videos - the stagecoach vlog!

  • @Converse75 We're chipping in and getting him one for Christmas this year.

  • @OhCurt You'll never get a long tree by chipping them.

  • @RobNorthampton Perhaps the correct term is edging??

  • Looked like a lovely adventure... and I kinda want to throw a shoe at the random stranger. =)

  • @nbwulf Random Stranger may very well be the way he is BECAUSE of shoes being thrown at him.

Data will soon be collected to back up this theory.

  • trains are awsome!!!

  • @robertzachow CHOO! CHOO! CHOOOOOO!!

  • That was beautiful and strange... But mostly beautiul ...... but strange

  • @sunsetlover We strive for both.

    Constantly!

    8-)

  • Wow, cool! A YouTube Train-ing program. It certainly gives a different aspect to vlogging. What does a steam train give you that a regular train doesn't?

    A tender behind!

Maybe that's why they keep the journeys short ;-)

  • @RobNorthampton A good tender behind is hard to find... or something like that.

  • @OhCurt There's always "Mr. Random Douchebag"? Word has it he'd been sitting on the carriage before they even attached them! The conductor told him, "Don't worry. You'll be hooked up soon". That's why he was blowing kisses at you! :-D

  • Looks like a great time was had by all, good to see how vlogging was done in the past.

  • @Arthur40TwoDent We are here to educate, inform, and ...did I say educate?

  • @OhCurt If you are ever here in Melbourne, I recomend a steam train trip on Puffing Billy through the Dandenong Ranges.

  • so what did you do with all the people who stared at you? did you have to kill them? cuz something has to be done about them.

  • @RiddleSpider Oh trust me... they've been neutralized.

    [insert dramatic music here]

  • I wonder if Random Stranger has his own channel?

    What's next? Chariot vlogging? :)

  • @andymooseman Perhaps it might be necessary to revisit that time in history as well.

Not enough people even remember the iBenHur channel...

  • Your ancestors must have got wet and cold in bad weather travelling in those cattle trucks - presumably that's why they invented the horse drawn covered wagon afterwards (I've watched Wagon Train so I know about these things)

  • @MrRandomWritings Hey, I've watched Wagon Train too. Maybe I should update my resume!

Horse & Buggy Vlogging was indeed a special time in vlogging history as well. I think we only scratched the surface with this video, really.

  • LOL at Van and her gun!!

LOL At Jason's perfect train music!!

LOL at the douche behind you!

    Just LOL! Good times!

  • @Blizzeekitty I LOL'd all damn day!

    :-)

  • A year or what ago i went on research for some goods who weren't available in the netherlands, so i went international for the first time, on train...before that i always toke only national train trips going to family, work or recreation...

Pretty easy though; when i knew which train to take, i could sit down, relax and enjoy the surounding or grab a book or newspaper or whatever...

  • @Menn019 I think I get what you mean. If we hadn't been there as crazy tourists and were using it as a mode of transportaion, it would've been the perfect time to sit back and do just what you described.

    Sure beats driving!

  • Random Moron behind you at 2:44 FTW!

Looks like a great time - So sorry I had to miss it.

  • @kenrg We were bummed you weren't there, but Napa was calling and we totally understood.

    :-)

Mr. Random (not to be confused with Mr. Random Writings) was fun. He started to jump the shark around the 2:48 mark, though...

  • Man i miss the West coast. One day you should visit Mt. Ranier National Park. So awesome.

  • @stevenfury I'm not sure where that is, but hey I'm game!

I've never been to Seattle, can you believe that?

  • First! YES!! Okay now to leave a real comment

  • @stevenfury Well done, GrassHopper2007!
